The Circuit Championship: 17U Stand Out Guards

The guards at this tournament were intriguing and had skillsets that should be recognized. He usually gets the fast break started and was good at making the right lead pass. He also showed his shooting ability by knocking down multiple threes each game. With quick hands too, he could be a pest for opposing players. Also with a quick first step, Yaris could blow by any defender with ease. Can handle the ball really well and has great touch when finishing layups or floaters. Also has good vision and he made many great passes throughout the tournament. Controlled the tempo for his team and was a big vocal leader with getting his teammates in the right positions. Was able to do everything offensively to help his team whether it was dribbling, shooting, passing to the right guy or spacing the floor. Plays a physical game with that also being on the defensive end. He knows how to use his strength and size to his advantage with multiple finishes through contact at the rim. He has the ability to take over by creating his own shot and scoring the ball when needed. Has a quick crossover that he mainly uses to get by his defender and to either score or drive and kick to the open guy.
