Here is a look back at Team 4 from the Illinois Sophomore ID Camp and the prospects that caught our attention!

[player_tooltip player_id='2125588' first='Bennett' last='Kammes'] Glenbard West 6'2

Bennett is a bigger wing who may be labeled now as a catch-and-shoot forward. He's very controlled from the wing and used shot fakes to create space. Kammes has good knowledge of how to play and how to score. Bennett has three-level scoring capabilities and will be a prospect for GBW sooner than later.

[player_tooltip player_id='2416443' first='Brayden' last='Petrie'] Boyland Cath. 6'4

Petrie is another bigger wing that made some shots from the perimeter. He is active away from the ball setting screens and setting picks to free his team up. Petrie did hit one three in the game I watched but didn't spend all his time on the perimeter. He played a little bit out of his position but he did his best to make an impact.

Joshua Kaunas Johnsburg 6'5

The big man on the court. Joshua rebounds the ball very well especially in crowded areas. He isn't a post player but more of a stretch forward. He connected on some shots from the perimeter, but didn't have much success from three. Kaunas is mobile and has the ideal size for Johnsburg to be a varsity contributor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2468215' first='Kaygen' last='Basinger'] NCOE 5'5

Small guard who made a couple of drives to the rim only to take tough shots over long arms. For his size, he must improve on handling a bit more. Kaygen is a catch-and-shoot guard right now. As he improves his vision she will be an impact guard on the high school level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125686' first='Travis' last='Cole'] OPRF 6'0

Solid guard who did a lot of pushing the tempo in the first game. Didn't take many attempts but was very assertive at initiating some type of offense. Played very aggressive defense that forced a couple of turnovers which led to transition points. As he continues to play I hope he becomes more assertive on the offensive side of the ball and try to become a scoring option.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532341' first='Keyae' last='Lacy'] De La Salle 6'1

A jittery guard that knows how to go get a bucket at times. Kayae connected on a pair of threes and finished the rest scoring from mid-range and at the rim. He isn't flashy and gets to the point on the court. Lacy has typical guard size with some wing span to help him make creative plays at the basket. Keyae is also a good passer when he draws the attention of multiple defenders. He had several assists when touching the paint. He's another talented Meteor who is part of a deep group of players on the southside.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125636' first='Jackson' last='Snider'] Wheaton Academy 6'4

Snider has improved on his skillset since I last saw him at the Freshman Showcase. He still runs the floor well and is very fundamentally sound around the basket. Jackson felt more comfortable on the perimeter beating guys off the dribble to score, something I didn't see last year. As a defender, he keeps guys on his back for rebounds always looking to create contact first.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532322' first='Ethan' last='Lopez'] Mount Carmel 5'8

I was very fond of Lopez. He was very instrumental in moving without the ball. He scores in double figures just from making cuts to the rim when his defender wasn't looking. On defense Ethan forced a couple of steals just from out-hustling guys to spots.
