The South was a two team race last year between Redwood Valley and Jackson County Central and that will continue this season. JCC made the state tournament last year and they did it with three sophomores playing key roles last year. Those sophomores return with [player_tooltip player_id='1601069' first='Roman' last='Voss'] pushing to be an All State First Team player in Class AA. But Redwood Valley has one of the elite 1-2 punches in Class AA basketball with [player_tooltip player_id='2104527' first='Lukas' last='Means'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2288333' first='Elway' last='Berg'].

Graduation could make the North a two team race as well. Eden Valley-Watkins, Paynesville, New London-Spicer and KMS will all need young players to step up and the team to have great chemistry to be able to make up for the graduation losses they suffered. Meanwhile, Montevideo returns a few of their best players as does Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta. All in all there is some very good basketball in AA and the champ will be up for grabs.
