Ohio Freshman Showcase: Team 2 Standouts

Offensively he grabbed a couple offensive rebounds and set up shooters for kick outs after these rebounds. I was impressed with his perimeter shooting ability off the catch and his efficiency. Spragg also showed the ability to finish at the rim with his right hand. I was impressed with Phiri in the open court as his ability to get to the paint was even tougher to stop than it was in the half court. Physically, Phiri has the tools to become an impact defender at the high school level. The wing was Phiri's favorite area of the court to knock down 3-pointers as he hit a pair in the game I caught. Playing at Saint Ignatius, Phiri is in a program will he will be pushed at practice daily. The wing played with a high motor and his relentless attacking style allowed him to get numerous second chance opportunities in the paint. While he started the day scoring on the interior, Spence then stretched the floor and started knocking down perimeter shots from the top of the key. Spence was one of a few players from West Virginia who made the trip to Ohio to compete and really impressed.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
