[player_tooltip player_id='1863062' first='Najeh' last='Boyd'] * "Najeh did a wonderful job running the show. He showed the ability to create off the bounce, both for himself and others, while also shooting it at a high clip. He can be a pit bull defensively. Big things ahead for Najeh."

[player_tooltip player_id='1657451' first='Brooks' last='Armstrong'] * "Brooks is able to get in the paint at will. He has a variety of finishes in his arsenal. Brooks will take the next step as a player when he becomes more confident in his ability to score from the perimeter, as he is certainly capable."

[player_tooltip player_id='2237725' first='Madden' last='Skunberg'] * "Madden was probably the most improved defensively over the course of the season. Madden is a true 3 level scorer, but his improvement defensively will serve him probably the most in the long term. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and he will continue to find success."

[player_tooltip player_id='1542353' first='Brody' last='Shepherd'] * "Brody is a guy you love to have on your team and a guy you hate to play against. Brody has game-changing perimeter shooting ability. It will be fun to see how the rest of his game develops."

[player_tooltip player_id='2237731' first='Nolan' last='Schmidt'] * "Nolan is effective. His style of play is unorthodox but effective. He is a guy who is going to score 1000+ points in high school and win a ton of games while defending and rebounding at a high level. He showed some perimeter shooting ability as the season wore on. He just gets things done."

[player_tooltip player_id='2237681' first='Eli' last='Undlin'] * "Eli is a stud. He suffered a broken bone during baseball, which caused him to miss our summer session. Eli has shown that he is an upper-level talent in the ND class of 2027. He can defend all over the floor, rebound, shoot, post, finish. Future college basketball player who will be successful. Super coachable. Super high IQ."

[player_tooltip player_id='2116300' first='Ahmi' last='Spears'] * "Ahmi oozes potential. He has the frame and athletic ability that coaches in this area covet. Ahmi will continue to find more success as he is more assertive on both ends of the floor. He is somewhat of a gentle giant, but we are confident that we can and will help him unleash the beast within. He can straight-line drive, shoot it, rebound it, block shots, dunk on someone. His time is coming and it will be fun to watch."

[player_tooltip player_id='2237729' first='Ben' last='Hynek'] * "Ben is an enforcer. Due to a family illness, he missed the majority of our season. He did a nice job finishing around the rim and did his job making life difficult for opposing 5 men."

With NDP President Maurer

PHD: How would you sum up the season for your squad?

"The season was highly successful. Our team did a great job in accepting the various challenges that were thrown at them. We did a great job sharing the basketball, rebounding, and playing unselfishly."

PHD: How did your team overcome adversity?

"We had a few injuries come up and the guys did a great job in sliding into other roles and doing more than was originally asked of them."

PHD: What are a few things your team improved on?

"As the season progressed, we found our stride in being a team that communicated well defensively."

PHD: Who was your top shooter?

"[player_tooltip player_id='1542353' first='Brody' last='Shepherd'] really stood out in this regard. He actually had a 9-made 3 performance this past season."

PHD: Who was your best rebounder?

"We did a great job of gang-rebounding as a team."

PHD: Who was your best defensive player?

"Honestly, this was a great defensive team. Not because of the ability of one person to guard, but the ability of everyone to communicate, rotate, and execute our schemes."

PHD: Any last comments/thoughts on the season?

"We finished slightly above .500 at 12-9, but what was fascinating about that is the teams we had losses to were MN Fury 4 times, Hoop City, MN Lightning King, and other super high-quality teams. We would guess the teams we lost to won about 90% of their games. As former Phenom coach Doran Schwartz would say, “Embrace competition,” and our guys most certainly did that."
