<p>Richardson is a new face to get to know out of Roanoke Rapids High in the NCHSAA 2A in the 2026 class. He begins the list of top returners from a season ago with 3.7 steals per contest as a two-way presence on the floor. He knows how to impact the game in more ways than just scoring as a prospect as evidenced by his production.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">4) [player_tooltip player_id='1716474' first='Dionte' last='Neal'] | 5'10 Point Guard | Reidsville</h3>

<p>Neal makes yet another appearance on a top returners list, this time in steals. He returns at No. 4 in the steals department after snagging 4.2 steals per contest during his sophomore run to a state title with Reidsville High. He'll be looked upon to do a lot more in the Rams backcourt in his junior season as he looks to lead them to another state crown.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">3) [player_tooltip player_id='2351706' first='Jayden' last='Little'] | 6'3 Guard/Wing | Anson</h3>

<p>Little is an emerging name to get to know in the NCHSAA 2A ranks out of Anson High in the 2A/3A Rocky River Conference. He returns at No. 3 among steals leaders from a season ago with 4.3 steals per contest in 2023-24. He's a sizeable prospect with some versatility at 6-foot-3 who's shown he can make quite the impact on the defensive end and then some. Little is also a <a href="https://prephoops.com/2024/08/nchsaa-2a-top-10-returning-scorers/">top returning scorer</a> in the region as well.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">2) [player_tooltip player_id='2382790' first='Jerry' last='Sims'] | 6'1 Guard | Southeast Alamance</h3>

<p>Sims is a budding name to get to know in NCHSAA 2A in the 2026 class out of Southeast Alamance High. He's a prospect who put up 4.5 steals per game as he returns at No. 2 and is already a familiar face among top returners as a top scoring threat. Sims ranked seventh in the state of North Carolina and second in the 2A East this past season, according to MaxPreps. He's already managed to find a way to make an impact on both ends of the floor and looks to keep it going heading into his junior season.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">1) [player_tooltip player_id='1990353' first='Rue' last='Chapman'] | 6'3 Guard | Southwest Onslow</h3>

<p>Chapman is a familiar face to know on the PH radar in the NCHSAA 2A ranks out of Southwest Onslow. He's been known to use his length, agility and quickness on the defensive side of the floor and returns after putting up 4.6 steals per contest in his junior year. His steals average ranked him fourth in the entire of state of North Carolina, according to MaxPreps, just to give an idea of how good of a presence he is on defense. He also produced 1.7 blocks per game to showcase his ability to alter shots. He's an underrated guard prospect for DII and DIII programs to keep an eye on in the Jacksonville area.</p>
