Inside Look : Kimball High School

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kimball high school on paper has a fair argument as the #1 team in Texas. I believe this to be true due to their depth. Two freak athletes in [player_tooltip player_id='2252457' first='Marri' last='Wesley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1462492' first='Lance' last='Carr']. A strong high IQ pg in [player_tooltip player_id='1583465' first='David' last='Coe'], a 6'10 Center and 6'7 backup. They have outside shooting from guys like King and Jaden Hardy as well. Combine this with depth, they have more than 1 guy that can do a particular job. Has natural blocking ability does a great job timing his jumps. In the first scrimmage I watched him make 6 bucks and adjust every shot that came his way. He's a special story where he's grown from 6'2 freshmen year to 6'10. He's doing a great job staying in the gym with the coaches and getting extra work. Lance already has freak athleticism and he can shoot the ball from the 3. Team won't be able to focus on him as hard as they would like. With David at the point guard Lance will be an unstoppable in transition. As the likely team captain, Lance leads by example by being a big talker on defense. The coaches spoke about his desire to get better and that he's a big film guy. Coe will give point guards trouble with his explosiveness and strength. He has ultra court vision and will be the heart of the Kimball offense. I saw in practice how he's able to find and utilize his bigs. Having Lance and Marri on the break will be exciting to watch as well. Offensively he will be a mismatch nightmare for teams.&nbsp; With his size, strength, and motor he will overpower guards and bigs won't be able to stay In fornt of him on the perimeter.&nbsp; Defensively his versatility is going to be a big factor in why this team will be a top defensive program In the state.
