David Barns Showcase: Youth Movement

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The David Barns Showcase was an elite event that showcased a lot of the talent in Michigan. There was some young talent that really stood out from the crowd and showed the state some of what we have in store over the next few years. His shooting touch from beyond the arc was on display on Saturday. Goff hit at least 5 triples, including a game winner, in a contest that I had an eye on. And deservedly so. He looked the part of an instant impact freshman at the showcase. Callan is a heady guard that, even at an early age, has a knack for making the right decisions with the ball. Trombley has some very real upside that he showed on Saturday. He had a nice pull up mid range jumper off a dribble drive. Trombley also showed the ability to bury a triple off the catch. He has a powerful frame with versatile athleticism. Underwood used both of those traits on his way to an elite showing at the David Barns Showcase. He was one of the bigger and stronger players at the event. It was great to see VanWagner utilize his frame and dominate under the rim. His day may have been highlighted by a 22 rebound game in which he dominated the glass both defensively and offensively. VanWagner focused on controlling the lane and earned high percentage looks at the rim because of it.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
