Class of 2028 on the Radar Pt.II

Cali-Live in June allowed PH NorCal to see some of the prospects in the Class of 2028 play on the Varsity with their high school teams. A few will probably be starters, while others will come off the bench to log quality playing time their first season of high school basketball.    He played well on the defensive side of the ball, good movement, quick feet, long arms, and awareness was a plus. He got a steal, and a put back in traffic. He took care of the ball, had good ball movement, fed the low and high post. He took his open shots.     He has the size and length. He works well from the high post passing and screening before sliding down into the post. He gained valuable experience playing up. He did go for blocks, got his fair share of rebounds, he had a good second effort finishing inside. He'll have to strengthen his body.     He's a good on ball defender, he stuck to ball handlers bringing the ball up court, he didn't give up easy baskets. He found spots in transition to shoot the 3pt shot. He's more of a shooting guard right now looking to put up 3's along the perimeter.     A good ball handling guard with vision to see up court, and around the perimeter, he made the long pass up, and found his shooters in the corners. He takes care of the ball, didn't waste dribbles, he found his way into the paint for kick out passes.     He's a hard playing wing type prospect with a good upside. He has foot speed racing up and down the court. He works to box out, he got a couple of put backs point, and he takes it up strong inside. He has length, strength, and foot speed to defend multiple positions along the perimeter, and inside. He brings energy.     There's no denying he has work to do. He's a long arm wiry 6'3 and growing prospect who contributes. Right now he's a screener, a ball mover, he works his way down into the paint to go after rebounds. He closes out on shooters.     It was our first look at the 6'3 shooting guard from Folsom. He showed he could defend at the varsity level, out on the perimeter cutting off drivers, and sticking to dribblers bringing the ball up court. He shows range on the 3pt shot, he used his dribble a bit to drive the baseline. He made his free throws, we'll see more.
