1.) 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1978100' first='Jaxon' last='Clark'] (Keokuk) -- 11.5 rebounds per game

As mentioned in the top returning scorers article, Clark was dominant last season for the Chiefs, putting up 19.8 points and 2.2 blocks per game in addition to his work on the glass. He's a big, mobile forward with soft hands and he does a great job carving out space in the paint to score around the bucket or pull down rebounds. He averaged 4.5 offensive boards a game last season.

2.) 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='2413531' first='Cael' last='LaFrentz'] (Decorah) -- 10.6

The son of former Kansas Jayhawk and NBAer Raef LaFrentz, Cael is a nearly 7-foot tall junior-to-be who had a breakout sophomore year in which he averaged 15.4 points and 2.6 blocks a game to go with his prowess as a rebounder. The long, mobile big man is still pretty raw, which should be a terrifying thought for opponents given how dominant he was on both ends of the floor as a sophomore.

3.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2511498' first='Tyson' last='Shivers'] (Boone) -- 10.4

Shivers, at 6-3, is one of the shorter players on this top 10 list, but his athleticism is high-level and has does a great job using that bounce to compete on the glass on both ends of the floor. He has soft hands and does a great job of skying above opposing players to pull down boards.

4.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1668669' first='Landen' last='Norris'] (Knoxville) -- 8.6

Norris is a big, long 6-4 wing who does a great job competing on the glass on both ends of the floor. He has a long, athletic frame that he uses to highpoint the ball, and he's a good enough ball-handler and playmaker to lead the break after pulling down a defensive rebound.

5.) 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1765515' first='Jaidyn' last='Coon'] (Storm Lake) -- 8.6

Coon is one of the best athletes in the state, a 6-7 wing who skies above the others on the floor to pull down rebounds on both ends of the court. He has improved as a ball-handler, allowing him to lead the break after pulling down a defensive board.

6.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1484410' first='Ryan' last='Watters'] (Central DeWitt) -- 8.5

An athletic 6-7 big man who does a great job on the glass on both ends of the floor, Watters is one of the most talented bigs in the 2025 class. He's a mobile, rangy defender; strong finisher around the rim; and a talented playmaker who sees the floor well. He averaged 16.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game as a junior for the Sabers.

7.) 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='2731814' first='Brady' last='Harr'] (Hampton-Dumont-CAL) -- 8.1

The 6-7 Harr was really good on the glass as a sophomore, and will have even more opportunity as a junior following the graduation of his older brother Scott, who averaged nearly 14 rebounds a game on his own. He has good hands, a huge frame, and he makes good, strong contact on his box outs.

8.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2721697' first='Geren' last='Kenney'] (Perry) -- 8.0

Kenney is an athletic 6-2 forward who led the team in scoring (13.9) and rebounding as a junior. He has good, soft hands, and uses his non-stop motor and athleticism to compete on the glass on both ends of the floor.

9.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2511628' first='Will' last='Hawthorne'] (Gilbert) -- 8.0

A tremendous athlete, Hawthorne recently committed to Iowa State, where he'll play linebacker. A strong, physical, and athletic 6-2 forward, he isn't a big-time scorer (6.5 points per game as a junior), but his work on the glass is invaluable for the Tigers.

10.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1381416' first='Thomas' last='Meyer'] (Clear Lake) -- 7.8

Meyer might be the next in a long line of extremely successful Iowa tight ends, but first he'll conclude what has been a very strong high school basketball career with the Lions. He's a great athlete with good size and strength at 6-5, and he obviously has great hands, which he uses to corral rebounds on both ends of the floor.
