Riverside is a team that I have talked about a lot this summer because I think they have a lot of under-the-radar players who fit very well together. [player_tooltip player_id='2224010' first='Joell' last='Basue'] is one of my favorite players, and he is the perfect example of a glue guy. You are getting elite perimeter defense and nonstop energy. Joell is a strong and a fantastic athlete. He's not much of a shooter, but when he gets out in transition, he does well. Joelle rebounds well and plays much bigger than he is. Joell will fill the stat sheet, and he does what his team needs from him to win.

Another Riverside Ram that I consider an elite glue guy is [player_tooltip player_id='2351969' first='Brady' last='Peterson']. I talked about Brady being one of the best-unranked players in NOVA a few weeks back, and he does it all as a forward. Brady can play as a wing, a 4, or even a small ball 5. He is a great shooter, and he can put the ball on the floor well. What makes him a glue guy for me is that offensively he can be effective playing with many types of players around him. And on defense, he battles even if he's giving up size. Brady rebounds well, is a good shot blocker, and will get more shine in his senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2459209' first='Justin' last='Edwards'] has improved so much over the past year. I love the all-around ability of his game, and playing for West Potomac last season, you saw what he could do as more of a go-to scorer. But after seeing Justin play at DMVlive and knowing what he brings to the court, I see him being one of the best glue guys in the state. Justin's willingness to guard multiple positions and give high-level effort is why I think even with a step up in competition, he will find a role. He rebounds well and can score from all over the court. He will find his spot in a talented O'Connell Squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='1782688' first='Khaliq' last='Carson'] doesn't always get the credit he should on a talented Bishop Ireton squad, but I think he is one of their most important players. He is a fantastic defender and makes life uncomfortable for opposing guards. He is a pest and always keeps his guy in front of him. Khaliq is a tremendous passer, especially when he uses his speed to penetrate. Khaliq can create his shot when asked and is a great all-around player. At DMVlive, I saw him rebound well even being one of the smallest guys on the court. Khaliq is the type of player every program will love at the next level.

EJ Schneeburg is part of a Potomac School backcourt and team on the rise. EJ plays either guard position, and there isn't a real weakness he has on the floor. He can create his shot and score from all three levels, but what he provides for this Potomac School team doesn't always come from scoring. He plays off the ball and is a solid spot-up shooter. He rebounds, defends, and does what the team asks of him. A true glue guy does whatever the team needs from him that given day to make them the best version, and EJ does that.
