My annual Film Room series is back for another year! There were over 50 Players who submitted High School, Grassroots, or Camp Highlights for review and all will be featured in an article on Prep Hoops. Check out my thoughts on the final group of 2025s and watch their film in the post from @AndrewBaxleySC on X (Twitter):

[player_tooltip player_id='1265263' first='Melvin' last='Teal Jr'] is the first name up on the Lower State 2025s Film Review and he is the highest-ranked prospect featured. Teal submitted his highlights from the Prelude League Season with [program_tooltip program_id='2246675' first='Charleston' last='Raptors'] where he was selected as an All-Star after a standout season. His tape was filled with offensive success including passing, interior scoring, perimeter shooting, and strong defense. He is a very physical player who knows how to use his frame to create space or get into opposing ball-handlers. Because Melvin is such a threat to score the ball, he draws lots of attention from the defense and he knows just when the window is open to find a teammate. He is a very balanced Point Guard who should be in for a monster Senior Season on the hardwood.

Jones is a sharpshooter with a high basketball IQ and will do the dirty work on both ends of the floor. On his Summer Highlights, Carson had a few impressive plays diving on the ground, making smart passes, and second-chance buckets. He is a very tough shooter to contest because he is listed at 6'4" and has a very high release point, meaning he can add spacing to any offense. He is a true corner deadeye, with most of his made threes on tape coming from the corners. Jones will even get into it on the defensive end by jumping passing lanes and rotating to block shots.

Brayden is a two-way wing with size and versatility on offense and defense. I was very impressed with some of his clips from the defensive side of the ball because he looked to be very switchable and contested shots well around the rim and from a distance. Langworthy is also an offensive weapon with his ability to stretch the floor with shooting or put the ball on the deck and get to the basket. Although he did show some good signs with his finishing in the paint, I would've liked to see more of Brayden driving or scoring using his off-hand as it could add just another level of skill to his game.

Caleb is the other Langworthy twin and although he is a good perimeter shooter, he had a lot more on-ball highlights, particularly with their Grassroots Team Upward Stars Charleston. He has a good handle and is a strong and creative finisher with both hands. Caleb also reads the floor well and likes to find his teammates in good positions. His Scholastic Period Highlights with Goose Creek showed the other side of his game, where he was playing off the ball knocking down threes off the catch or getting to the basket with minimal dribbles.

Swift had an exciting reel to watch because he is a highlight waiting to happen in transition with multiple poster dunks and impressive finishes through contact. Although he is at his best playing with speed and getting his defender on their back foot, Khristion can also be effective in the half-court with more composed drives to get to his spots in the mid-range and the paint. He has a good size for a PG, athleticism, a tight handle, and is strong to play through bumps from defenders.

Williams is another from the Goose Creek - Upward Stars Charleston duo. He is a quick guard with a good handle that is a threat to get to the basket, connect from the perimeter, or find a teammate. He has a great combination of dribble moves that he can call on to beat a defender off the dribble including his crossover and hesitation, or he can simply jet past them if he has the right angle. Williams can also be effective off the ball because of his ability to knock down threes off the catch.

Reece is another shooter on this list and one with pretty impressive stat lines from his Junior Season multiple 3+ 3PM games. He is on the smaller side for 2 Guard but has not wasted movements in his jump shots and gets it off fairly quickly. Stewart has very deep range, is comfortable shooting off the catch or pull-ups, and has a crafty handle to get to the rim on the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='1501794' first='Ty' last='Harpring'] is a new face to the Palmetto State so I was excited to check out his highlights and get a feel for his game. Ty was All-State last year at Blessed Trinity (GA) and had a good AAU Season with Outside the Perimeter in the Puma NXT League. Harpring has a very pure stroke and is a top-tier shooter averaging 2.7 3PM this season. Although I was most impressed by his spot-up shooting and the sets run for him, Ty also can put the ball on the deck and make a play if run off the three or in transition. He is listed at 6'3" and has a thick frame, so I would expect in-state schools to become interested once they see him in action this Fall.
