Harpring has had the privilege of bringing plenty of SCISA state championship hardware in his career with the Dolphins. It does not get any sweeter than doing so in one’s senior season. Harpring led his team with 14 points in what became a 45-19 rout of Pee Dee Academy in the 3A championship game. Harpring can put points on the board from virtually anywhere on the court and his speed combined with his rim-attacking capabilities make him particularly difficult to contain. His 6-foot-3 stature, keeping his hands outstretched on defense, efficiency and on-court leadership are other strong points to his well-developed skillset.

Harpring moved into the Palmetto State last fall after living in the State of Georgia. Ty plays a bit off the grid down in the Lowcountry at Hilton Head Prep. The Dolphins are currently the #1 team in SCISA Class 3A with a (22-4).
Ty made the move up from #128 to #47 in this latest update with his play for the Dolphins this season.
Harpring is currently 23.4 ppg and 5.7 rebounds for the Dolphins. Ty has a great frame to get by and bully defenders to the bucket. He shows to have nice body control to the rack. Ty finds ways to score it from the perimeter with a sweet looking stroke or simply driving to the basket. He constantly keeps moving on both ends of the floor while doing a nice job of staying active away from the ball.

is a new face to the Palmetto State so I was excited to check out his highlights and get a feel for his game. Ty was All-State last year at Blessed Trinity (GA) and had a good AAU Season with Outside the Perimeter in the Puma NXT League. Harpring has a very pure stroke and is a top-tier shooter averaging 2.7 3PM this season. Although I was most impressed by his spot-up shooting and the sets run for him, Ty also can put the ball on the deck and make a play if run off the three or in transition. He is listed at 6’3″ and has a thick frame, so I would expect in-state schools to become interested once they see him in action this Fall.

The 6-1 shooting guard is one of the top ranked guards in the state of Georgia. Harpring plays with a lot of passion and can absolutely shoot it from beyond the arc. Harpring has a high IQ who makes the right plays and doesn’t seem to let a big moment phase him.

played a major role in Year 1 as a freshman at Blessed Trinity. He immediately emerged as a go-to perimeter scorer. Harpring plays with great balance. He’s a knockdown three-point shooter and a crafty driver that has improved off the dribble.
