The first full week of August is coming to an end, meaning the new academic school year is coming soon. The 2026 class has completed two seasons of varsity ball and is looking to make its mark on the hardwood this season, including the unranked prospects. Here are the 2026 unranked shooting guard prospects to track.

[player_tooltip player_id='1406953' first='Eric' last='James Jr.'], 6'3 St. Benedict's

James Jr. transferred into the Garden State from Pittsburgh and is ready to make his mark on the Garden State this season. The 6'3 guard has a quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and elevates above the rim for dunks. James Jr. finishes nicely around the basket and sets his feet before he shoots. He pushes the pace nicely in transition and has the potential to defend both guard spots. James Jr. is a talented guard prospect who should put up big numbers in his first varsity season in New Jersey.

[player_tooltip player_id='2504919' first='Jeremiah' last='Webb'], 6'3 Patrick School

Webb has the potential to play on and off the ball, which makes him an intriguing prospect to track. The 6'3 guard attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes nicely around the basket and can make shots through contact. Webb is more than just a slasher as he has a nice release on his jumper and can also score in the mid-range. He makes plays with the ball in his hands and is an underrated defender. Webb is a skilled guard prospect whose ability to play on and off the ball will help his stock in a big way this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2505095' first='Sam' last='Fasola'], 6'2 Park Ridge

Fasola is one of the top shooters in Bergen County and should put it on display this season. The 6'2 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Fasola moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the halfcourt. He is an underrated passer and gets deflections on the defensive end. Fasola had nine 20-point games as a sophomore and should eclipse that mark in 2024-25.

[player_tooltip player_id='2505096' first='Nick' last='Nsenkyrie'], 6'1 Rutgers Prep

Nsenkyrie had a solid spring and summer season and should carry it over into the winter. The 6'1 guard is a tough on-ball defender as he makes it hard for his man to get to his spot on the floor. Nsenkyrie has a solid handle as he gets to his spot on the floor and rarely forces shots in the halfcourt. He finds his open teammates in the halfcourt and finishes nicely around the basket. Nsenkyrie is a gritty guard prospect who does what it takes to help his team win games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2507518' first='Andrew' last='Larbie'], 6'4 Burlington Township

Larbie has the potential to play on the wing, making him a prospect to watch over the season. The 6'4 guard attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong around the basket and is unafraid of drawing contact. Larbie uses his size to see over his defender and can also score in the mid-range. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is a solid rebounder. Larbie is a long guard prospect whose ability to make plays at both ends of the floor will help his stock over the next couple of months.
