With the summer being over and the high school season a few months away, it's that time of year where players are taking visits and researching college programs. With that in mind, we've decided it's a good time to take a look at some under the radar players across the state.

Here's a look at some of the hidden gems in the Northern VA area of the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='2242420' first='Cam' last='Yingling'] | 6'4” WF | Fairfax '25

Yingling is an interesting prospect that schools should be paying close attention to, because he's one of the most explosive players in all of NOVA public school basketball. At 6'4” he has long arms and is a fluid athlete who can run the floor well, he plays above the rim in transition and on set plays and he's chock full of potential on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1494119' first='Landon' last='Harvey'] | 6'4” WG | Battlefield '25

Harvey has quietly been a force in Prince William County over the past few years, and would help a school right away with his ability to make shots in different ways. He's a knock down shooter from deep ho can set his feet on the move, he can play on the ball where he can get downhill and finishes well through traffic and he brings toughness on both ends as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2148742' first='Liam' last='Koelsch'] | 6'7” C | West Potomac '25

Koelsch is coming off a summer with the NOVA Cavs where you saw him getting more and more confident as it went along, and I'm expecting a big summer from him with that. The 6'7” big man does a little bit of everything as he can score it over the shoulder in the post, he's pretty explosive off the stand still, he challenges shots without fouling and he's a good rebounder as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1767546' first='Johnny' last='Callow'] | 6'0” WG | Herndon '25

Callow is a two sport star who also shines on the football field, but he's one of the more underrated scoring guards in the NOVA public schools. Callow is obviously a talented athlete who thrives in transition with his speed and finishing ability, he's a quarterback and plays like one with a cool demeanor and the ability to see the floor and he can make tough shots from multiple levels.

[player_tooltip player_id='2242418' first='Jack' last='Lloyd'] | 6'4” WF | Flint Hill '25

Lloyd really impressed this summer both with Flint Hill in the DMV Live and with AKT on the HGSL Circuit, showing he's one of the top shooters in the DMV. He has picture perfect form from the feet up, he stays shot ready and is a deadly weapon on kick-outs, he has great range and he brings a lot of hustle and toughness to his team as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2148760' first='Preston' last='White'] | 6'5” PF | Gainesville '25

White had to change his role this summer with Higher Level on the HGSL. Circuit as he had a backcourt that could flat out fill it up, but he showed a lot of versatility on both ends that's intriguing. He can guard almost any position on the floor and will battle with bigger guys in the post, he can play uptempo and run the floor, he's a good finisher with both hands and plays with a terrific motor on both ends.
