2024 IYBL Back To School League- Top Players Class Of 2029-2030

The class of 2029 and 2030 showcased why they are some of the best at their crafts. The back to school league is currently being held in the small town of Noblesville, Indiana. This league will be excellent preparation for the upcoming school season for many of these young ballers.    This will be my second write up of Chase. I have to say, I have seen much improvement in his overall basketball game. Especially, the inside scoring aspect of it. Chase played like a "man among boys" when I saw him play over the weekend. He was literally unstoppable in the paint scoring on pure heart and strength, often converting on multiple three point play opportunities. This guy continues to have a very high motor, as he never seems to stop playing on both ends of the court. Chase runs the floor and finishes on breaks along with continuing to be an excellent defender and rebounding menace. Chase finished the game with 16 points and 8 rebounds. I'm really looking forward to seeing how middle school ball turns out for him. Chase has a chance to have a very special eighth grade year this season.     Wyatt is an excellent rebounding forward who owned the boards over the weekend. He didn't mind going inside the paint and attacking the glass with every opportunity he had. Really good inside scorer who was able to score with ease over the opposing defender. He also showed the ability to step outside the paint and knock down mid-range shots on multiple occasions. Excellent defensive player who I witnessed block a number of shots and make scoring difficult for the opposition. Wyatt is an excellent all around player who should continue to progress with growth and age. This young man is special on the basketball court!!     This is my second write up of Jhalyn and I tell you he did not disappoint!! This young man has truly improved his all around game. He was already a good player when I first saw him play but now this young guy may be entering that status called "Elite." I witnessed Jhalyn play a complete all around game at a high level over the weekend. He's a true floor general who always looks to get everyone involved on offense. (7 assists) Excellent defensive player who forced multiple turnovers and blocked shots at his guard position. (2 steals, 2 blocks) Jhalyn showed he has the ability of scoring when he had to, by being aggressive on the offensive end of the floor. (17 points) This is a kid who I definitely plan to follow up on!! I truly believe Jhalyn has all the capabilities of being an elite point guard in the coming years.     Mason is truly a great shooter!! I witnessed this young man knock down four threes in the game I watched. He's one of those players who constantly moves around on offense trying to free himself for open looks. From what I saw, it really doesn't take much space for Mason to get his shot off and be efficient. Kind of reminds you of that guy who resides in Golden State. But like him, this young man has the ability to get to the basket and not rely on just three point shots. On the defensive end of the floor, he proved to be very scrappy and problematic for opposing guards. Mason is a very good player who I predict will have a very successful eight grade season in middle school. Really looking forward to watching him play again!!     Kayden aka Kaydoe is truly a monster on the court!!! He was something serious when I wrote him up the first time. To be the smallest player on the court, this young guy plays fearless and dominant at the same time. Excellent scorer who can give it to defenders in a variety of ways. He can blow by you and attack the basket as well as going outside and making threes. Kaydoe is the kind of player who can light up the score board if he's in a groove. I saw this little guy knock down a half court shot at the halftime buzzer over the weekend. On defense Kaydoe is a fierce defender who pressures the ball and forces multiple turnovers. (4 steals) It's really an experience watching this little guy play at the level he does. I guess it helps when you're a two sport athlete. (football) Kaydoe finished the game with 15 points, 3 assists and 1 rebound.     Jackson is a really good player who really impressed me over the weekend. Excellent post player who used a number of moves to score in the paint. I remember one play where he used a ball fake to get to the basket and score that shocked me. I didn't expect Jackson could do it, but he did and had the defender going the opposite way. He also show the ability to step outside the paint and knock down jumpers. Excellent rebounding big man who attacked the glass at a high level and grabbed close to double digit boards in the game I saw. Good defender and passer who always found teammates for high percentage shots at the basket. Jackson plays really good interior defense and makes it difficult for the opposition to be effective. Overall, he's a really good player who will be a force to be reckoned with as his game progresses. I truly loved watching this young man play.     Krayson is truly a great player who really impressed me over the weekend. This young man has the capability of playing both guard positions at a high level. He is an excellent floor leader who made sure all his teammates were involved in the flow of the offense. (which was very effective) Great passer who always seemed to find others for easy shots at the basket with his lane penetration. Excellent ball handler who broke down opposing defenders on multiple occasions, to get where he needed to be effective. If he switches over to the two guard position... nothing changes. Krayson showed the ability of scoring in bunches with attacking the basket, knocking down threes and scoring on fast break opportunities. He has a really quick first step, which allowed him to get around defenders for easy drives to the rim. Great defender who forced multiple turnovers that lead to positive plays for his squad. I'm looking forward to seeing how Krayson performs during the middle school season.     This young man has excellent post moves, along with the ability of making jump-shots outside of fifteen feet. Miles also showed the ability to bring the ball up court under control and grab rebounds for easy put backs. He seamlessly transitions well on offense by getting to his spots for open looks. Sets good picks and screens that allow teammates to be more efficient on the offensive side of the floor. A really good interior post defender who had no issues boxing out and grabbing defensive rebounds. The type of player who does not go for pump fakes and stays on the ground against opposing post players. Miles is very knowledgeable in regards to defending the painted area. He showed the ability of staying with opposing post players without generating many fouls. Excellent at running the floor and finishing on fast breaks along with being a really good shot blocker. Good all around player who will improve every time he steps on the court.
