In this article I will be giving you my all-tournament teams from 1st to 3rd. The overall talent level in this tournament was very good. Here are my Grind Region Finals All-Tournament teams:

First Team:

Langston Hampton - Athletic Elite 2025 I really liked the way Hampton was playmaking on offense especially in transition. His teammates would always be in the right place for open shots due to his vision. His fast pace, decision making and defensive anticipation in passing lanes were impressive. Great IQ player!

Jawun Shaw - Oak Cliff Stars 2025 Explosive guard that is elite in a lot of ways. First, he can score on all three levels as he makes tough layups, mid-range and perimeter shots at a good rate. Second, he gets his teammates involved with his ability to facilitate the ball to open teammates. Third, he defends well on the ball while getting steals in passing lanes.

Reginald Jackson - Louisiana [program_tooltip program_id='2076376' first='Gators' last='Elite'] 2025 Gives his 100% effort on both ends of the floor! Physical player that isn't afraid of contact and will finish shots at the rim. I liked his versatility being able to hit open shots from the mid-range off the dribble and off the catch on the perimeter. He plays good defensively on the ball and rebounds well securing stops for his team.

Shangameir Sutton - Nikw ProSkillsMTX 2026 National I was really impressed with his high activity on the floor! He makes big plays when they matter the most that change the momentum for his team. Plays well within the team's offense and defense. Very athletic wing player that should be on the radar soon!

Baker Hoskins - Xpress Sports 2026 Versatile offensive player that can create shots for himself on all three levels. Shows toughness on the defensive side competing on the glass for rebounds against opposing power forwards and centers throughout the weekend. His footwork was very elite which allowed him to score at will.

Second Team:

Derek Shepard - Natural State Warriors 2025 Gets up the floor quickly while handling the ball especially in transition. When he sees an opportunity to drive to the rim, he aggressively attacks converting layups.

[player_tooltip player_id='1590877' first='Jaxon' last='Sneed'] - Nike ProSkillsMTX 2026 National A hard nose defender that plays at maximum effort on both ends of the floor. His playmaking resulted in him picking apart defenses throughout the weekend setting up teammates for open shots.

Jayln Robinson - Team Impact His quickness with the ball in his hands was really impressive. In transition he pushes the tempo getting up the floor with the ability create for himself and his teammates. Offensively he likes to play within perimeter to get high percentage shots. Defensively he guarded multiple positions well displaying his versatility.

Israel Awoyomi - Nike ProSkillsMTX 2026 National A player that uses his physical tools well to anchor the team's defense by alternating and blocking shots in the paint which I really liked about his game. Offensively he finished well around the rim while providing second chance opportunities by getting offensive rebounds.

Jameal Reynolds - Texas Summit UA Rise 2026 One of the best rebounders I watched at the Prep Hoops Grind Region Finals. He has a relentless pursuit of the basketball when it comes off the rim. If nobody is boxing him out, he will hustle for the ball while it is up in the air.

Third Team

[player_tooltip player_id='2468389' first='Carson' last='Demny'] - Houston Dash Elite 2026 Seeing him play multiple times throughout the AAU season you can count on Carson to play hard on both ends of the floor. Offensively he can score on all 3 levels and defensively he plays good on the ball putting pressure on the opposition.

[player_tooltip player_id='2487741' first='Rondy' last='Dunn'] - Nike ProSkillsMTX 2026 National is a good shooter with good mechanics on his jump shot. Offensively he finds himself open on the perimeter with the ability to knock down shots from that range on at an efficient rate. On the other end he finds gaps in the defense to steal the ball in passing lanes. Also, he plays well on the ball defensively especially against opposing guards

Conrad Filler - Team Stay Ready 2026 Conrad finds his spots on the floor well and converts off the dribble and off the catch! He is an active defender that got many deflections by being in passing lanes. Conrad gets after it on the defensive end.

De'Michael Brooks - Team Stay Ready 2026 A scorer that can catch on fire quickly and generate points at a high rate offensively. I was impressed by his IQ and feel for the game overall on both ends! He never stayed still on offense moving without the ball a lot of the times. On defense he displayed great anticipation in passing lanes and on the ball

Jewell Smith - Team Impact Excelled on the defensive end with his presence in the paint making it hard for opposing players to score easy. He uses his leaping ability and physical tools to his advantage to grab rebounds at a high rate. Also, Jewell finished layups inside the paint on offense as well.
