With the scholastic live period over and the grassroots live period going on, we thought it would be a good time to look at some specific specialists in different areas. Here's a look at some of the top shooters in the Hampton Roads area.

[player_tooltip player_id='1494110' first='Sebastian' last='Whitfield'] | 6'5” WF | Cape Henry 2025

Whitfield has been one of the biggest stock risers in the 757 this summer, and his ability to make shots in a number of different ways plays a big role in that. The 6'5” wing has great size to get to spots off the bounce and rise up and make shots, he can drill it from deep off the catch consistently and he shoots a high percentage from the charity stripe too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1494098' first='Justin' last='Burrough'] | 6'6” WF | Norfolk Collegiate 2025

Burrough may not be the most prolific shooter on this list, but his ability to knock down shots at his size makes him a very intriguing prospect. The 6'6” wing has great form from the feet up and doesn't need much space to get it off, he attacks closeouts well and can get to the pull-up and he can create his own shots off the bounce too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1201605' first='Alex' last='Pissis'] | 6'5” WF | Catholic 2025

The French native is one of the most underrated players in the 757, and like many euro players he has an all-around game but his ability to shoot it is a big part of that. He understands spacing and moves well off the ball to get open, he knocks it down on the move at a good clip and he can create shots for himself and others as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956079' first='Alex' last='Etheridge'] | 6'3” WG | Kellam 2025

Etheridge is one of the more underrated players in the 757, as he's been one of the best shooters in the Beach District over the last few years. He's a high IQ and competitive wing who brings it on both ends of the floor, he sets his feet quickly when he's working off of screens and he has good range and a quick release to get his shot off.

[player_tooltip player_id='1446198' first='Carmelo' last='Swinson'] | 6'2” CG | Norcom 2026

Swinson has improved his body quite a bit over the past few years, and while he's known as an elite bucket getter on the ball he has improved a lot in his shot making from deep too. He can create space with the ball in his hands and knock down shots from deep, he can move off the ball where he can set his feet and make shots on the move and he can attack closeouts and get in the lane too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2252312' first='Justin' last='Jones'] | 6'2” CG | Atlantic Shores 2026

Jones is one of the most improved players in the 757 over the past few years, and his ability to knock down shots from multiple levels has been his most improved aspect. He's turned himself into a true guard who can get to spots and create space off the bounce, he shoots it well off the catch on kick-outs and he's deadly in the midrange as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2459375' first='Cason' last='Fitch'] | 6'3” SG | Oscar Smith 2026

Fitch is part of a talented and underrated Smith team, and he could be a breakout player in Chesapeake this year if he plays the way he has this summer. He has good range from deep which seems effortless, he knows how to relocate well to create open passing lanes, he can handle and create space and he can get hot quickly too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2470583' first='Trey' last='Barnhart'] | 6'2” CG | Kellam 2027

Barnhart is next up in the Beach District at Kellam, as he's a mature guard who can score the ball in a number of different ways, including from deep. He has excellent footwork to come off screens or create space with the ball in his hands, he can make tough shots in the midrange, he knocks it down off the catch from deep and he knows how to work to get open.

With the scholastic live period over and the grassroots live period going on, we thought it would be a good time to look at some specific specialists in different areas. Here's a look at some of the top shooters in the Hampton Roads area.
