June 21st-23rd I attended the annual prestigious Section-7 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale,AZ. There were 160+ teams from across the West and some out of the area and it is one of the biggest live period that college coaches can view high school teams. It is basically the Super Bowl of HS basketball in the West for three days. The local teams held their own and Millennium even won one of the top brackets.

Here were some of the top local Prep Standouts I viewed

[player_tooltip player_id='2197693' first='Chris' last='Brown'] Dream City Christian (Pictured)

A very fluid and long post player has a high upside. He is all arms and legs and moves gracefully around the court. He scores on quick moves to the basket, put backs, dunks, rebound chasing, ball fakes into a score and will defend. He blocks or alters shots and rebounds. He missed all of last year and looks to break out in the next year or so.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411646' first='Ifaola' last='Fawaz Tacko'] Dream City Christian

One of the stronger post players in the entire state. He has long arms and will rebound and outlet quickly. He will alter and block many shots per game and score around the rim with some toughness. His top skill is his rebounding as he is a quick jumper with long arms and boxes out his man well. He will set strong picks and slips to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1485542' first='Davis' last='Fogle'] AZ Compass Prep

A very tall wing forward takes unusually long strides to get to the basket. He does many things with hitting threes, he is very long in the passing lanes, he is a top of the food chain rebounder with a quick second and third jump and is high flyer on the break. He verbally committed to Gonzaga.

[player_tooltip player_id='1834123' first='Mayom' last='Mayom'] Bella Vista Prep

One of the taller wing forwards in the class and state. He is all arms and legs and is an effortless athlete to dunk the ball on the break with alley-oops. He rebounds well in his area and can knock down the three with a quick release.

[player_tooltip player_id='2198867' first='Lucas' last='Toukam'] Bella Vista Prep

A long and stronger power forward who is a top rebounder and shot blocker. His offense is rapidly improving with threes off the catch, pull-ups from mid to the three and will even crossover into a driving layup. He is a little undersized but defends in space and uses his 7'0+ wingspan to block shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1595670' first='Ikenna' last='Alozie'] Dream City Christian

A freak athletic combo guard is a downhill machine. He is one the fastest players in the West on the break. His power, grace, body control and high flying dunks is the norm for him in every game. He is a better passer than he gets credited with and is a phenomenal rebounder. He also defends on the ball better then most and rattled in more threes then normal.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150824' first='Kaden' last='House'] AZ Compass Prep

A basketball player who scores it when needed and makes every play. He played the 1-3 for them and has the ball in his hands a lot. He scores with pull-up threes, floaters, tough takes in traffic thru the contract and is a great passer off of the pick and roll game. He sets the tone for the prep team to know it will be a tough match-up all game long against us.

[player_tooltip player_id='1366003' first='Jaden' last='Vance'] Bella Vista Prep

A bigger guard just keeps hooping in every setting. He scores with getting downhill to the basket with his long strides and athleticism and has a polished mid to the three point shot off the dribble or catch. He is one of the easier jump shooters in the class from mid-range and hit the three this weekend too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2211004' first='Rokiem' last='Green'] Bella Vista Prep

A physical scoring guard is a true 3 and D type. He is a physical driver into tough baskets with a polished runner. He hits the catch three with good form and a quicker release and makes his opponents uncomfortable using his long arms and sturdy frame to defend multiple positions.
