The final live period of the 2024 recruiting period came and went this past weekend as On the Radar ran off its well-stocked Power 24 tournament, and Saturday action at Next Play 360 produced some interesting guys to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2242911' first='Davenport' last='Cox'] | Guard | HYPE Hawks 17U (pictured at top)

Kingston Hawkins and Chris Park also had noteworthy performances the last couple of live periods, Cox though has been trending upward for some time now and it's been fun to follow his development. A big season ay Mays lies ahead for the multi-level scoring threat, plays a cerebral brand of ball constantly putting pressure on the defense with his shooting and off-the-bounce ability at 6-4.

Kenny LaRue | Guard | Georgia Fire 17U (2026)

The Lambert speedster had a strong weekend for Fire playing up with the 17s, as he's a classic "slice-and-dicer" who puts a lot of pressure on the defense with pace but can score in bunches while being a willing and precise feeder. That speed makes him tough to get past on defense, active hands and a vocal presence at that end.

[player_tooltip player_id='2715139' first='Christian' last='Little'] | Guard | [program_tooltip program_id='2076900' first='Warner' last='Robins All-Stars'] 17U

At OTR's Elite 32 a week earlier it was [player_tooltip player_id='2493858' first='Gabriel' last='Jacobs'], at Power 24 the Westide-Macon wing looked the part of a college-ready guy. More physical and a bit bigger than Jacobs, Little can play the bull game from the backcourt with his stout frame and has serious lift at 6-4. Can guard multiple spots and is another high-IQ guy from a roster full of them for WRAS.

[player_tooltip player_id='2085759' first='Bobby' last='Buggs'] | Guard | AE5 16U

Saw some of his progress up close in June also with Eagle's Landing, Buggs has been a guy to watch for a couple of years now but entering his junior year you see the physical transformation adding to what was a sound and heady floor general type game. The vision, the ability to analyze the floor, and the natural gifts add up to a player rapidly rising on recruiting radars.

[player_tooltip player_id='1414020' first='Jarvis' last='Wright'] | Guard | [program_tooltip program_id='2076854' first='GA' last='Canes'] 17U

Playing with guys like [player_tooltip player_id='1300718' first='Connor' last='Teasley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1607055' first='Braden' last='Moore'] can easily overshadow a guy who deserves all the praise he gets, and the Ware County sharpshooter has definitely earned some looks. Can seriously fill it up from distance but gets at the rim with a fearless approach that is eye-catching. One of those non-ATL area guys who flies under the radar but has a chance to get scooped up by a smart college staff.

[player_tooltip player_id='1383027' first='David' last='Culbreath-Martin'] | Guard | Charge Academy 17U

Has always defied and fought the size argument with a real understanding of how to play the game right and with a controlled pace. Now entering his senior year, all that mind power is melding with what was always a dynamic skillset using the bounce and a smooth touch from the mid-range and out past the arc. The coming '24-25 Berkmar team has a lot of talent and Culbreath-Martin will be right in the center of it.

Cam Cherry | Guard | Devin Butts Elite 17U (2026)

Long strider plays a lot bigger it appears than his 6-2, and you love catching middle-GA guys when they come up to ATL and put up numbers. Those strides get the Peach County wing to the hole in a flash, but he can then make you pay from long distance when you back off. Has the look of a guy who isn't finished developing, potentially scary stuff for when next Spring rolls around.

[player_tooltip player_id='2478483' first='Asa' last='Montgomery'] | Forward | AOT 17U (2027)

No trouble fitting in playing up two levels for this riser, long and rangy he has weight still to add but plays physical enough as a sophomore-to be with his grit and movement. For a young Hillgrove team you'd better not sleep on this coming winter he will be a focal point with his inside-out ability.
