Kolby is an undersized post - but is very strong and quick and finds a way to get to the rim. He's a good passer from the post, and always defends the opponents best post. He is a great rebounder and was a major spark for us in our championship run in Sioux City."

#3 [player_tooltip player_id='1510889' first='Boston' last='Cranston'] - 6'0 - Dickinson High School

"Boston is a really good floor general. That was very evident in our last two tournaments and especially in Sioux City. He caught fire in almost every game, and was an absolute zone killer. Parker also improved defensively quite a bit this season, and expanded his game by getting to the rim a few times, and also hitting some mid-range pull-ups. Parker has a quick release to his shot - and when he is on - Look out!!"

#5 [player_tooltip player_id='1632630' first='Brody' last='Lillemoen'] - 6'6 - Grafton High School

"Brody is another great shooter from the outside. There were often times this season where he couldn't be guarded because of his size on the inside, and then his range from the outside. The biggest thing that Brody improved upon this year was becoming more comfortable playing in the post. He did a great job playing inside-out against zone defenses, and was able to realize he is a tough-matchup on the inside. Brody was probably our leading shot blocker on defense, and also came up huge on the boards for us."

#11 [player_tooltip player_id='1510892' first='Brayden' last='Blikre'] - 5'10 - Minot North High School

"Brayden is extremely athletic and is a "big play" type player. Brayden can legitimately play any position on the floor as well as guard any position on the floor. Brayden has no fear, and can always be relied upon to make a big play offensively or defensively which he has done many times for our squad over the years."

#12 [player_tooltip player_id='1845252' first='Gunnar' last='Jost'] - 5'10 - Minot North High School

"Gunnar is a very good spot up shooter. He also has a quick release which made the drive and kick game very effective for us. He hit a lot of big shots this season. Gunnar also has a knack for being in the right position on defense whether it be on ball or help. He picked up a lot of charge calls this year, and was a huge spark for us in many of the games this season because of those big plays."

#20 [player_tooltip player_id='1511062' first='Rocklin' last='Beaudrie'] - 5'10 - Newburg High School

"Rocklin is an energizer on the defensive end as well. Rocklin also took a lot of charge calls this year, as well as providing a lot of frustration for the opposing team's top shooter, as he was relentless in his defensive pressure. Rocklin has a high basketball IQ and rarely made any mental mistakes. Rocklin also had the knack of hitting some big shots from the outside when teams keyed in some of our main shooters."

#23 [player_tooltip player_id='1632692' first='Elijah' last='Robinson'] - 5'8 - Minto High School

"Eli is a very good ball handler. He is extremely quick and shifty and takes pride in finding the open guy on offense. Eli is all-out all the time and never takes a play off. Eli along with his brother Ezra were probably our two leaders in steals this year, as they read passers very well and were able to get a jump on the ball. Eli is a good shooter, and had a few games where he had multiple 3's for us."

#25 [player_tooltip player_id='1632700' first='Ezra' last='Robinson'] - 5'8 - Minto High School

"I absolutely LOVE the way this kid plays the game! Ezra is an all-out competitor and is willing to sacrifice his body at any time to make the play. Ezra takes a lot of pride in his defense and doesn't ever back down. Ezra plays with a chip on his shoulder and always played his hardest. He started to develop more confidence shooting the ball towards the end of the season, and came up big for us on both ends of the floor in Sioux City. Ezra also ran the point quite a bit when Boston was out. He rarely makes mistakes and is a very good floor general."

#30 [player_tooltip player_id='1632619' first='Reggie' last='Rice'] - 6'5 - Grafton High School

"I can't say enough good things about this kid. Reggie is not only a great player, but more importantly Reggie is a great teammate! He is constantly communicating with his teammates on the floor offensively, defensively, on the bench, during FT's, time-outs, etc. The kid is engaged and keeps everyone on the same page!!! Reggie really got comfortable playing in the post for us this year, and realized that he could dominate down low when he utilized his quickness and size. I thought Reggie really expanded his game this summer. He is also a great outside shooter and hit a lot of 3's for us this season. He would take the role of guarding the other team's best post player when Kolby wasn't in the game, and played with a lot of strength and intelligence. I think Reggie can make a lot of waves this season!"

Q&A with Bob Beaudrie

PHD: How would you sum up the season for your squad?

"It was a very up and down season for us this year. We ended the year with a 16-13 record and really learned a lot about ourselves as a team and as individuals. We usually played in the top division in all of the smaller tournaments and in the 2nd highest division in some of the larger tournaments (Prep Hoops). As a result - these boys had competition each and every game. This was a great learning experience for them. By the end of the year - they were playing their best ball. They were able to win 6 of their last 7 games of the season, and ended the year with the Sioux City Championship!"

PHD: Do you have any fun memories you want to share with us from the season?

"We had a lot of fun moments throughout the year, but the one that really stands out was when we played West Central United in Minneapolis. At one point in the 2nd half we were down 24 points, and the boys fought their way back to win the game by 9. It showed a lot of heart, mental toughness, and belief in each other to make that happen. That really helped show them that anything was possible for this group."

PHD: How did your team overcome adversity?

"We did have a lot of adversity this year, as we weren't always consistent game to game - tournament to tournament. It was like that for the majority of the season until the last couple tournaments when we finally seemed to gel offensively and defensively, and become more consistent. I was very proud of the boys for the mental toughness that they displayed throughout the season, and I think that was the biggest take away from the summer - all of them developing a more positive mindset and realizing that if you just keep working on getting better at the little things game by game, possession, by possession, eventually it will all click!"

PHD: What are a few things your team improved on?

"The biggest improvement that I witnessed from day one to the end of the season was the consistency of sharing the basketball on offense. We would have games through the season where we moved the ball well, and were able to get a lot of great offensive opportunities as a result. This was not something we did consistently though. During the last two tournaments that boys really focused on making that a priority and it paid off in a big way. We were able to get great looks, we got the defense frustrated, and everyone was involved and having fun offensively."

"The other big improvement was TEAM communication! We always would have one or two guys communicating, but eventually that snowballed, and the whole team would constantly be talking whether it be the 5 on the floor and/or the guys on the bench. I love to see that engagement and we did a really good job of that by the time the season ended."

PHD: Who was your top shooter?

"Our top shooter this year was probably [player_tooltip player_id='1632628' first='Parker' last='Jacobson']. When he is on, he is extremely dangerous, and everyone on our team knows this. When he would start to heat up - our boys made it a point of getting him the ball in an open area to keep that momentum going. Other guys that lit up the scoreboard at times this year were [player_tooltip player_id='1632630' first='Brody' last='Lillemoen'], [player_tooltip player_id='1632619' first='Reggie' last='Rice'], [player_tooltip player_id='1510892' first='Brayden' last='Blikre'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1510889' first='Boston' last='Cranston']. Brody is another kid that can light it up when he gets on a roll, and he is so hard to defend from the outside because of his length. Reggie is the same way. Brayden is a big play guy, and always seemed to come up with the big shot when we needed it. Boston really improved his outside shot this year, and was a dual threat as he is very good at getting to the rim as well."

PHD: Who was your best rebounder?

"[player_tooltip player_id='1632619' first='Reggie' last='Rice'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1510891' first='Kolby' last='FastHorse'] were probably our most consistent guys rebounding the basketball. Reggie is really good at reading where the shot is going to come, and with his length and size, was able to get a lot of offensive and defensive boards. Kolby does a great job of physicality, getting a great box out, and going to get the ball at it's highest point."

PHD: Who was your best defensive player?

"Defensively, the guys that really took pride in that part of their game were [player_tooltip player_id='1511062' first='Rocklin' last='Beaudrie'], [player_tooltip player_id='1845252' first='Gunnar' last='Jost'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1632700' first='Ezra' last='Robinson']. These three took a lot of charges and sacrificed their bodies throughout the season, and made it extremely difficult for their opponents to do what they wanted to do. They always seemed to be at the right place at the right time defensively."

PHD: Any last comments/thoughts on the season?

"This was a very fun group to coach this season! They all contributed massively to the success that we were able to achieve throughout the season. I thought that they showed a lot of improvement as individuals and as a team as the season progressed, and I am very happy and proud of them as young players and young men!"

Best of luck to the [program_tooltip program_id='2075723' first='ND' last='Attack'] players this winter!
