Team Camp in North Carolina has begun to hit its stride with some of the best prospects and programs showcasing who and what they're all about. Teams all over the Tar Heel state have taken the hardwood to compete with the best this summer in preparation for the 2024-2025 high school season. Among them are teams from the NCISAA representing the Triad, an overlooked, underrated region home to some big-time prospects and programs. Let's turn our attention from last week's NCHSAA coverage to the standout prospects in NCISAA team camp play, specifically from the class of 2027, who are representing the 336.

I'm excited to dive deeper into our class of 2027. As this summer turns into next fall, this is a class who will start getting more coverage and attention. This is a high energy, beyond talented class whose turn it is to make a strong impact on high school hoops.

There's a new generation of talent ready to make its mark at Greensboro Day School, one of the Triad's best programs in the NCISAA. The Bengals have brought in and started to develop a few key underclassman who they believe have the potential to evolve into big-time prospects and play significant roles in championship pursuits. Among them are class of 2027 guard [player_tooltip player_id='1808859' first='Hunter' last='Lowe'].

At 6'0", [player_tooltip player_id='1808859' first='Hunter' last='Lowe'] is a long, athletic two-guard who is a knockdown three-point shooter. He's a high-volume shooter who excels off the ball and off the bounce. Lowe's got a consistent jumpshot from behind the three-point line and around the perimeter that make him a versatile scoring threat in the half court. He's a high IQ prospect who takes care of the basketball and makes the right read. Lowe moves well without the ball and does a nice job of creating space to get open and let his shot fly. I'd like to see him fill out a little more physically, putting on more muscle without losing his footwork and speed that help him create space. I think Lowe has room to grow on defense, too, prioritizing staying in front of his man and contesting shots. There is no doubt these attributes of his game have the potential to improve with a sturdier frame that will give him the confidence embody his physicality. With a Greensboro Day roster shaping up to be highly competitive, but feeling the effect of key departures in their backcourt, [player_tooltip player_id='1808859' first='Hunter' last='Lowe'] has a chance to develop into a key piece to this teams backcourt now and in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='2415807' first='Seth' last='Harris'] is a prospect out of Caldwell Academy who started to gain some traction at around this time last year. Harris saw meaningful minutes his freshman season for the Eagles and looks to cement as an integral piece of this squads backcourt in 2024-2025.

The first thing you notice about [player_tooltip player_id='2415807' first='Seth' last='Harris'] is his size. Listed at 6'3", arguably 6'4", Harris' length sets him apart. His skillset complements his frame nicely as he is an attack first guard who's a big time finisher at the rim. Harris' got a quick first step that allows him to get by defenders and in position to make a play. He does an excellent job of drawing fouls and finishing through contact which puts him at the line frequently. This is a prospect who's got a nice feel for the game and plays his own brand of basketball. [player_tooltip player_id='2415807' first='Seth' last='Harris'] is a serious name out of Caldwell Academy to keep an eye out for.

Moving into the top 50 ranked prospects in the class of 2027, let's take a look at combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='1834535' first='Donyeh' last='Baird'] out of Quality Education Academy. Baird is an established name in the triad region who has continued to elevate his game this summer on the AAU circuit and during the NCISAA live period.

[player_tooltip player_id='1834535' first='Donyeh' last='Baird'] is a strong, physical guard who excels in his role as a finisher through contact and elite perimeter defender. At 6'3", Baird has got the length and size to apply some serious on ball pressure and cause disruptions defensively. He's got some exceptional footwork and lateral quickness for a prospect with his body type and utilizes that to his advantage. Baird is a gifted scorer who likes to penetrate the lane as much as he can to take it in himself or find an open man on the block. All in all, this guy is straight up a competitor who is not fun to be matched up against. While he's positioned well to lead Quality Education to a big-time season in 2024-2025, there's still room for him to grow. Given his competitive fire, I'm sure he'll take the next step.

Coming back to Greensboro Day, lets turn to a more established prospect in [player_tooltip player_id='1411216' first='Jagger' last='Emerson']. At 6'6", Emerson is a highly regarded combo guard who arguably has the most upside and untapped potential in his class.

Simply put, I am excited to see [player_tooltip player_id='1411216' first='Jagger' last='Emerson'] play another season of high school basketball for head coach Freddy Johnson at Greensboro Day. Emerson is everything you want as a member of your backcourt tangibly, and on top of that has a vocal presence on the floor that displays a rare quality of leadership for just a rising sophomore. He's a versatile scorer given his build and moves well on the floor to create space. Emerson is a gifted passer who has distinct floor general characteristics to his game. He's an athletic kid who's an underrated rebounder who likes to push the pace and make plays in transition. [player_tooltip player_id='1411216' first='Jagger' last='Emerson'] is positioned well this upcoming season. He's got Freddy Johnson to help him improve his game and a bigger role on this Greensboro Day roster that's calling his name. Division 1 programs will get to know this guy even better in the weeks to come.

Our highest ranked prospect is [player_tooltip player_id='2464614' first='Asante' last='Phillip'] out of The Burlington School coming as #33 and the #6 guard in his class.

The Burlington School is another high performing program from the Triad who's got a new wave of talent surfacing their roster in 2024-2025. Among them is guard [player_tooltip player_id='2464614' first='Asante' last='Phillip']. With Zion Walker no longer holding it down in the backcourt, [player_tooltip player_id='2464614' first='Asante' last='Phillip'] is a guy who can come in and make an immediate impact now while still prioritizing his development. Phillip is a stocky two-way prospect who excels in his role as a scorer/facilitator and a lock-down defender. He's a high motor guy who brings a spark off the bench that shouldn't be dismissed. Phillip's a top-ten guard for a reason, but he's also a competitor who wants to help him team win, and by doing that, his stock will rise. Phillip's sophomore season is going to cement his status as a Division 1 prospect who's got a promising future ahead.
