Here's round two of some late July standout shooting guards. These soon-to-be seniors all gave us some strong performances to end the AAU season and deserve some recognition as July comes to a close.

Shelton Henton PHH Prep | [program_tooltip program_id='2076260' first='FOH' last='']

Henton's a well-rounded offensive threat who has deep range behind the arc and gets downhill to use his size on drives. He uses his dribbles efficiently to get to the hoop, has the body to shrug off defenders, and mixes up his attacks well to keep defenders off balance. He really showed off that deep shot in Las Vegas and has the ability to get it off quick, under pressure, and in big spots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1485586' first='Kenyon' last='Simmons'] Timberline | [program_tooltip program_id='2451463' first='NW' last='Drip']

He showed up and fought hard in his last game of the summer season, relentlessly racking up offensive boards over bigger players and playing stout perimeter defense. He's a kid who excels at getting downhill and while he didn't do too much of that off the dribble, he was able to find space and the timing for cuts to the hoop and get to the rim with a head of steam. He finished strong through contact and overall played with exceptional grit and hustle.

[player_tooltip player_id='2894475' first='Noah' last='Owyak'] BFL Prep | [program_tooltip program_id='2075477' first='Fuego' last=''] Jets

Owyak was pretty shifty with the rock, creating space for midrange pull-ups and showing he can get to the hoop where he was a pretty athletic finisher. A lot of what he did was created 1v1 and stemmed from his ability to get the edge on his man and get downhill. He's an exceptional athlete with some wiggle and while he only took a few jumpers from the midrange, his shot looked smooth and consistent.

Jacob Graham Riverside | Hooptown Elite

Graham was a solid contributor for Hooptown against the Fuego Jets. He hit shots from each level, with catch-and-shoot 3s and midranges, and some strong downhill drives later in the game. It was a balanced scoring effort that helped steady his team, and he was able to set the pace a bit later on by drawing fouls inside and heading to the foul line.

Legend Smiley So Cal Academy | NW Rotary Rebels

Smiley was aggressive and efficient, finishing second at the PIT in scoring (22.4 PPG) while shooting over 50% in four of their eight games and over 60% in three. He had five 20+ point scoring games, including a 35-point performance in a win against Team Durant and was a constant force at the foul line, going 34-39 (87.2%) in the session. An impressive end to his AAU career as he gets ready for his first year with So Cal Academy.
