Adidas 3SSB Championships: Thursday 15U Standouts

There were Top Prospects, Grassroots Programs, College Coaches, and Media Personalities from all over the country in attendance for an exciting day of Basketball. He is a slasher who started most possessions off the ball due to his team's personnel. He has a good handle and can get past defenders on his way to the basket. However, Davis is comfortable pulling up from the mid-range or shooting off the catch from the perimeter. And his game is not just limited to the offensive end, either. He worked very hard on the other end and caused lots of headaches for his matchup. Not only is he on the team, but Ary-Turner is an integral part of it as the squad's starting Point Guard. He is trusted to operate the offense and he does so by running sets and making reads at a high level. Tyson is also a pest of the defense end, never allowing life to be easy for his assignment. He has a good handle, reads the game well, and is a very smart pick-and-roll ball handler. He is a good athlete who jumps and releases the ball well over defenders when shooting from the perimeter, giving him an added margin for error. Daven is well-built physically with a wide frame and long arms. He is even the team's leader, encouraging his teammates during the good and the bad, which was tested late in a close game. He is a pure shooter with a beautiful jump shot and the size to shoot over defenders. Newman is also a good athlete, which was shown a couple of times around the rim on each side. Because his perimeter game is so advanced, if James could fully develop a handle to drive closeouts or an interior game to work from the post I think he could be a terrific player. In a tight loss on Thursday Afternoon, Newman put up 18 Points on 4-7 3FG and 2 Blocks. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
