The wait is finally over as we have updated our 2025 rankings yet again! The class is becoming very familiar to us as we have been evaluating them for years now, but there's always updates to it.

Next on our line of content, we dive into our positional rankings separating them into guards, wings and forwards.

Here's a look at part one of the top point and combo guards in the class.

25) [player_tooltip player_id='1494122' first='Sonny' last='Bridges'] | 5'10” PG | St. Chris (#78 Overall)

Bridges was a big reason for the Saints success this year as they made their first trip to the VISAA Final Four in 9 years, and he's gearing up this summer to take the reigns at the point guard position. The 5'10” lead guard is a tone setter on both ends of the floor as he's a very good on ball defender and controls the tempo, he touches the paint to make plays for himself and others and he can score the ball in a number of different ways.

24) [player_tooltip player_id='1870443' first='Sol' last='Vita'] | 6'1” PG | South Lakes (#76 Overall)

There's always one kid who as soon as the rankings go out we say “he probably should have been higher,” and Vita is one of those guys as he may have slipped through the cracks. That's on me, and don't get it twisted Vita is one of the top guards in the NOVA public schools, helping lead South Lakes to a state championship last year. He's a skilled and high IQ guard who can make plays off the bounce, he's a tough shot maker from multiple levels and he has great instincts defensively too.

23) Aaron Elliot | 6'0” PG | Lake Taylor (#74 Overall)

Elliot is another guy who could move up the rankings as he's coming off a great junior season and will be the go-to guy for Lake Taylor this season. He's a dual threat guard who lives in the paint with his ability to change speeds and levels, he's an excellent finisher with either hand and has great footwork and he can deliver tough passes with either hand as well.

22) [player_tooltip player_id='1598943' first='Parker' last='Cage'] | 6'1” PG | Hayfield (#70)

Cage had a good junior season for the new look Hayfield group, showing he's one of the best shooters at the guard position in all of NOVA public schools. The 6'1” guard has effortless range and great form making him a consistent threat off the catch and off the bounce, he has a quick first step and attacks closeouts well and he has good instincts as a defender as well.

21) [player_tooltip player_id='1956070' first='Jalen' last='Deloatch'] | 6'4” PG | James River (#69 Overall)

Deloatch was one of the top guards in all of Richmond last season helping James River be one of the top teams in Chesterfield, and his ability to score it will make him one of the top scorers in RVA next year. He's a big guard who can handle it and both create space and get downhill where he is a good finisher, he can make tough shots from the midrange and knock it down from deep and he is able to get hot quickly and score it in bunches.

20) [player_tooltip player_id='1494116' first='Kassidy' last='Jackson'] | 6'1” PG | Green Run (#63 Overall)

Jackson has been a staple in the Beach District since he was handed the reigns at Green Run as a freshman, and he's one of the top two way point guards in the state. He's grown quite a bit and has long arms to get deflections while hounding ball handlers, he has great speed in the open floor and a quick first step to blow by defenders and he's improved quite a bit in his shot making ability over the years.

19) [player_tooltip player_id='1588502' first='Jordan' last='Hairston'] | 6'0” PG | Miller School (#56 Overall)

Hairston is a throw back style guard as he's your classic floor general who is the perfect player to run the show for a talented team like Miller who won the state championship last year and bring back plenty of fire power this year. He's a very good defender who can pick up and turn ball handlers the length of the floor, he handles pressure well and makes plays for others and he scores it when he needs to efficiently.

18) [player_tooltip player_id='2451937' first='Adarius' last='Boston'] | 6'4” CG | King's Fork (#53 Overall)

Boston has been a part of King's Fork success since he was a freshman, but really took a big step this season after they lost much of their backcourt production from the years before. He's very intriguing as a prospect as he has great positional size with long arms and is a good athlete, he can make shots from deep and get to spots off the bounce and he's a good rebounder for his position too.

17) [player_tooltip player_id='1225266' first='Jeremiah' last='Gorham'] | 5'11” PG | Highland School (#52 Overall)

Gorham is part of a Highland group that is very deep in the backcourt so he sometimes gets overshadowed, but this spring with Global Squad he's shown he can flat out get it done in multiple ways. He's quick and shifty off the bounce allowing him to get in the paint or create space on the perimeter, he can score it from all over the court with the ball in his hands, he can move off the ball where he can hit shots on the move and he can make plays for others too.

16) [player_tooltip player_id='1259634' first='Gavin' last='Cormany'] | 6'1” CG | Oak Hill Red (#41 Overall)

Cormany was one of the best players in VHSL Class 2 at Radford before transferring to Oak Hill Red where he's continued to develop his game. He's a classic combo guard who is excellent as a catch-and-shoot threat who can make shots while on the move, he can work in pick-and-roll and isolations to create space and knock down shots and he brings toughness and a competitive chip to whatever he's involved in.
