-Vita rejoined our rankings after starting his senior season in NC after he returned to West Nottingham to provide another ballhandler and scorer for the Rams’ backcourt. Vita proved capable of controlling pace in transition as both a scorer and distributor for a WNA that had a ton of talent filling the lane and wings. Loved his development over the course of the year as a strong guard that manipulates his defenders to shift one way before using ball screens to attack the defense with downhill drives to the rim that often ended in a bucket or FTs. Vita’s ability to knock down perimeter jumpers off the catch should only add to his value at the next level as a well-rounded guard that can do a little bit of everything for his team.

-Vita’s January addition has given WNA a primary ballhandler that can generate paint touches for his team, run the offense, and call his own number to score when needed in the flow of the game. Vita scored two AND1 buckets at the rim, knocked down an open C+S look from the perimeter, and knocked down his FTs from the charity stripe. The way that he was able to push the pace in transition really opened up the game for his team to build up a double digit lead and coast to the finish line.

He’s a crafty guard who was nearly unstoppable attacking going right. His strength and quickness stood out throughout the open gym, complemented by impressive court vision and a natural feel for the flow of play. What stood out even more was his defensive intensity. He consistently picked up full court and disrupted opposing ball handlers. A good athlete with a smooth mid-range game, he connected on multiple pull-up jumpers off the dribble.

-Vita is a skilled guard transferring in from South Lakes that should earn minutes with this Mt. Zion National group. Vita uses his frame and agility to beat his matchup to the rim and is a solid finisher with either hand. We’d like to see him use that driving ability to set teammates up for shots, getting the offense in rhythm to open up more driving lanes for himself. Big junior year ahead!

South Lakes beat up on James Madison and quickly got out to a big lead. South Lakes’ defense is always tenacious and opportunistic.

is the guy I feel always gets things started for South Lakes on both ends, and he’s a big part of why they’ve been so dominant this year. Sol is a great passer and rebounds well for a guard. Sol led all scorers with 16 in a comfortable win.
