The 2024 South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association Live Team Camp continued today in North Augusta, South Carolina at the Riverview Park Activities Center. Over 120 High School programs from the Palmetto State will be in attendance at some point throughout the weekend, so this is one of the most important stops of the Prep Hoops SC Calendar. Check out these five prospects who stood out from Saturday’s Action:

begins our list of Saturday Standouts at the 2024 SCBCA Live Team Camp in North Augusta. Lewis went for 29 Points on 11-19 FG shooting in a win over Cane Bay. He has been on fire this summer and has become one of my favorite players to watch in South Carolina’s 2025 Class. He is a wing who can create off the dribble or spot up and knock down shots on the offensive end, and is versatile and effective on the defensive end. TJ does not shy away from contact on his drives and has the size, athleticism, and skill to finish amongst the trees at the rack. He is also very good at coming off pin downs and down screens to help get him space for his shots.
Highlights
Kaleb had one of the top individual performances of the weekend in Lexington’s matchup with Ridge View. Although the result of the game didn’t go as the Wildcats would have liked, Evans was a major bright spot displaying his ability to put the ball in the basket at a high level. He went for 29 Points on 11-18 FG and 5-7 3FG in the contest. Kaleb is extremely shifty and has a great handle to help him get through tight spaces, which is necessary considering the types of pressure teams will put on him. Evans also has deep range and was very effective in creating his own shots, particularly with side-step and step-back threes.
Highlights
Gavin had a terrific performance and had some notably clutch plays down the stretch in James Island’s win over Greenwood on Saturday Afternoon. He is a wing that can do it all on the basketball court including shooting, playmaking, defending, and rebounding. The defense and playmaking are what helped the Trojans down the stretch, getting a steal and two assists in the final two minutes. He went for 18 Points, 8 Rebounds, 7 Assists, 3 Blocks, and 1 Steal on 4-7 3FG in the game. Ward is a knockdown perimeter shooter, which is his floor at the next level. If his body continues to grow and strengthen, it will only raise what his ceiling can be.
Highlights
Vankallen was the toughest player on the floor today in the high-level matchup between the Blazers and Lexington. He was a beast on both boards, but the offensive end stood out as it was his main way of scoring and earned lots of extra opportunities for his team. Joshua’s athleticism allows him to play taller than he is and that is particularly evident around the basket. He is a good finisher around the rim and protects it very well, tallying 2 Blocks and affecting several more. He also chipped in with a couple of steals, showing his defensive engagement at all times. JT finished with 6 Points and 8 Rebounds in the win.
Highlights
Kaleb is just one of a number of bright young players for this Fox Creek squad. Broadwater plays as the big man for the Predators, and he was particularly effective in their big win over Gilbert in North Augusta. He put up 13 Points, 6 Rebounds, 2 Steals, and 1 Block in the game and got an early rest due to the situation. Kaleb was very active on the defensive end, jumping into passing lanes and rejecting shots at the rim. Broadwater also was solid on offense, finishing both athletically and strongly inside the paint. He can do so with either hand consistently and his versatility should only increase his stock down the line.
