The 2024 South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association Live Team Camp took place this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in North Augusta, South Carolina at the Riverview Park Activities Center. Over 120 High School programs from the Palmetto State were in attendance at some point throughout the weekend, so this was one of the most important stops of the Prep Hoops SC Calendar. Check out these five prospects from the Lower State in the 2025 Class who stood out to me this weekend:
Shane Potts Shane Potts 6'1" | CG Goose Creek | 2025 State SC out of Goose Creek HS in the Charleston area begins my list of Lower State 2025 prospects from this weekend. He heated up in the second half of the Gators’ win over Ashley Ridge, going for 12 Points in the contest. Shane has a solid overall game but stood out in the ability to score from multiple levels of the floor. Specifically, he did so most often off the bounce, using his quick-twitch and handle to create space to rise up and knock down shots. He is also a guard who will contribute on the glass and can push the pace once he brings one down.
Parker has grown a lot since I last him almost a full year ago – both physically and with his game. Renault is listed at 6’7″ now and won’t get bullied around the paint. He actually did some of the bullying, backing his defender down into the paint and showing off his post-work. Parker has always been a terrific shooter and had some good moments from the perimeter in the game I watched him, putting up 13 Points and 8 Rebounds in a win over Greenwood. I could see him being a 4 or a 5 at the next level, particularly if he refines his overall skillset and adds some self-creation off the dribble.

It was a tale of two halves for Goodman in Denmark-Olar’s matchup with High Point Academy early Saturday Morning. Although he was effective in both, it was what he did in each half that was different. In the first, Joshua played more of a facilitating role, dishing out assists and putting his teammates in a position to be successful with his handle and vision. In the second half, he started to attack the rim more using his size and athleticism to finish at the rim. He often had to do so through contact, earning a couple of old-fashioned three-point plays. Goodman is a good defender when engaged and will be used at the top of a 2-3 zone despite his size. In the end, his stat line looks very balanced putting up 14 Points, 6 Rebounds, 5 Assists, 2 Steals, and 2 Blocks.

Teon is the first of two Crestwood Knights I have on this 2025 list. He is a big man with a college-ready body and there were several coaches on the sidelines taking note of his performance. I watched Tindal and company in the second window of games early Friday Afternoon and his strong production in the first half helped him and the rest of the starters get an early rest in the second half. He did a little bit of everything on the court, scoring with his back to the basket or facing up, cleaning the glass, protecting the rim, and even stretching his game out to the perimeter with a made three. Teon had 18 Points, 7 Rebounds, and 2 Blocks against Newberry.

Durant was one of the under-the-radar prospects who most impressed me from the 2025 Class in North Augusta. In that matchup with Newberry, he stood out with his size, athleticism, and scoring ability. He is from the 3 & D mold but could improve his shooting slightly to become a true “knockdown shooter”. His athleticism and length allow him to be effective on the defensive end by creating turnovers, forcing tough shots, and crashing the glass. Riley likes to get out in transition too and finishes well at the rim. He went for 13 Points, 7 Rebounds, and 3 Assists in the win.
