. Goodman now plays for Denmark-Olar in 1A Region 4 after moving from Hampton County High School. He was an important piece for the Hurricanes helping them make the 2A Lower State Championship Game while averaging 6.9 Points Per Game on 67% FG shooting. Joshua is a do-it-all wing who will score around the paint, make plays for others, crash the glass, and do his job on the defensive end. Goodman is a versatile defender and will often be used on ball-dominant guards or at the top of zones so that his length can affect the game.

Goodman has a new address this season with the Vikings. Goodman previously played at Hampton County HS last season. Joshua is a very versatile player who can play multiple positions on the floor. Goodman will be suiting up on the gridiron this fall for the Vikings. Joshua has great length to pick up deflections on the defensive end of the court. He has ability to rebound on both ends of the court and show his versatility handling the rock up the floor in transition.
He was a nice addition to a Viking squad this coming winter and Head Coach Hercules Davis on the hardwood.

It was a tale of two halves for Goodman in Denmark-Olar’s matchup with High Point Academy early Saturday Morning. Although he was effective in both, it was what he did in each half that was different. In the first, Joshua played more of a facilitating role, dishing out assists and putting his teammates in a position to be successful with his handle and vision. In the second half, he started to attack the rim more using his size and athleticism to finish at the rim. He often had to do so through contact, earning a couple of old-fashioned three-point plays. Goodman is a good defender when engaged and will be used at the top of a 2-3 zone despite his size. In the end, his stat line looks very balanced putting up 14 Points, 6 Rebounds, 5 Assists, 2 Steals, and 2 Blocks.

HIs team looks to him as the leader and he is consistently called on to: Score, rebound, defend and facilitate for his team. Standing at 6’4/6’5, he showed his versatility, playing almost all five positions for his team.
