This was my first time watching the Tennessee transfer this summer who’s not playing at Joliet West. Really strong two-handed slam driving baseline against Lake Forest. Went coast-to-coast for a tough lap shortly after. Love the two-way capabilities he has to go along with peak athleticism.
Highlights
6’6” Joliet West SG played well vs Lake Forest. Pushes the pace in transition while flashing an ability to score from all three levels. Created tons of scoring chances on the fast break. Layup package is impressive and that showed towards the end of this contest. High motor prospect who’s super athletic. Really like his ceiling.
Highlights
Marian Catholic combo-guard played with a ton of confidence vs Lockport. Started the game with a very difficult finish inside. But started to knock down several midrange shots off the dribble as the game progressed. Buried a fadeaway jumper and pulled up from the baseline shortly after. Then extended his range for a 3-pointer to give MC a comfortable double-digit lead in the opening half. Showed up defensively later in the game with a block and some really strong rebound chances.
The physicality and athleticism was on full display once again vs Crane this afternoon. Had a few really powerful drives to the hoop offensively with an impressive fast-break slam shortly after. Also finished an alley-oop later on. Snagged rebounds with authority on both ends. Bouncy prospect has become one of the top prospects in 2026.
Highlights
Reynolds was dropping dimes all over the floor vs Crane. At least 5-6 assists and maybe 10-12 potential assists in the opening half. The tempo really changed whenever he had the ball. Wasn’t afraid to let it fly either and buried a handful of triples throughout the game. Also took a charge defensively.
Lengthy 6’5” SF from Crane had an impressive showing vs DeKalb. Worked his way to the basket for several smooth finishes. Also banked home a midrange fadeaway midway through the game. While there’s still parts of his game that need improvement, the collegiate potential is definitely there.
Highlights
Lethal in transition vs Marist. Long throw up the court led to an easy finish as part of a 9-0 run to start the game. Later displayed his own athletic abilities up the floor. Lefty finish through traffic followed by a one-handed slam. Euro-step finish on the break during the 2nd half. It was at that time where his playmaking abilities really started to stand out. Picking up a pair of assists to open guys inside. Reminder that he’s transferred to Rich township.
Coulter was all-business vs Marist. The athleticism and vertical ability immediately stands out. Super bouncy for someone his height and had the opportunity to block tons of shots. Made some athletic plays as a scorer on the break in addition to a smooth shooting stroke from outside.
Gill was a monster vs Niles North. Dropping 30 points in an exciting 62-53 win. Hitting shots from all three levels while leading the charge in transition. ESPN’s Mike Wilbon was watching!
Highlights
St. Patrick 2025 SF showed tons of promise vs Libertyville. Took advantage of his length to be a strong contributor on the boards and even blocked a dunk attempt late in the contest.. Offensively, he was extremely aggressive attacking the rim. Got bouncy with an athletic fast break dunk late in the opening half. Outstanding speed up the floor for someone his size. Then showed off some range by burying a catch-and-shoot 3-pointer.
Highlights
4-star football recruit made tons of athletic plays vs WWS. Transition slam started things off. Had several put-back finishes throughout the game as well as drawing fouls. Physical player on the interior made it harder for opposing defenders to contest his shots. Even active as a playmaker in this one as West Aurora squeezed past WWS in OT.
