In both Comets Elite games I watched, Spencer was arguably the most productive player on his team. He first started coming on to the radar at the start of his sophomore year as a sharpshooter on the wing, and has since grown a few inches and added to his game. He still poses a threat from beyond the arc, but looked much more comfortable attacking off the bounce and utilizing his length to finish at the rim. Against Pack he was going right at the athletic 6'6+ Curtis twins for some finishes inside, and was holding his own as a rebounder inside. Not many prospects have improved as much over the past two years as Spencer has.

Marley put together one of the best halves of basketball that I've seen all spring on Saturday morning. The big wing drained six 3's, threw down two dunks, and beat the buzzer with a lay-up all in under 16 minutes of playing time. He moves and handles a ball in a way that not many guys 6'6 can, and he's been shooting the ball at a high level all spring. Marley showed he can create space for himself out on the perimeter, and was hitting contested jumpers with the utmost confidence.

Duke played a key role in Powerhouse's run to the 16u finals. He's an explosive 6'4 wing with fluid mobility. Had one of the highlights of the weekend as he beat his man with a quick spin, drove baseline, and elevated for a one handed dunk. Throughout the weekend he hit a few threes, crashed the glass hard, and was a big time shot blocker inside. Against [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] he came out of nowhere to block a shot that would have won the game in overtime with just a second remaining. Scored 11.1 ppg as a sophomore at North St. Paul, including 25 in a win over Mahtomedi.

Ty put together a strong showing on Sunday morning helping lead his [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley'] team past Hoop City. He can cover a lot of ground with a limited amount of dribbles to get to the rim, and showed good body control to finish at a variety of angles. The spin move in the lane is starting to become a signature move for Ty, and he's able to use it to beat smaller wings to the rim before finishing with touch. Schlagel can get all the way to the basket and power through a crowd to score, but also showed touch with a soft floater. Has a combination of size, skill, and feel for the game that ranks him among the top young prospects in Minnesota.

Mareng is a 6'7 small forward who flashed his high potential against Hoop City. I hadn't seen him play in a couple of years, and he looks like a much more confident shooter from beyond the arc, as well as an improved ball handler. On multiple occasions he was able to beat opposing wings off the dribble to get to the rim and finish. Defensively he can move his feet with smaller wings, and was a shot blocking threat inside with his long and explosive frame. Has been running with Minnesota Falcons this spring.

Micah is developing into a monster in the paint. He changes directions so quickly at around 6'7, able to beat opposing wings off the dribble before exploding to the rim off of two feet. Against Comets Elite he threw down a pair of dunks over multiple defenders, and another dunk in transition. I like how he looks to play off two feet which allows him to go up balanced to finish. Micah also does a nice job of dribbling into a post-up when he has a smaller wing on him, and then turning over his left shoulder for a hook shot inside. Is at his best going at the basket, but is a threat from three when given too much space.

Isiah helped lead Minnesota [program_tooltip program_id='2075852' first='Spartans' last=''] into the semi-finals of the 17u bracket. Against Team FSA he had one of the dunks of the weekend as he came flying down the lane for a left handed finish over a pair of defenders. He's an explosive athlete who can take flight when given a bit of space to elevate. Continues to show improvements as a shooter as well, knocking down some threes as well as a few mid-range pull-ups across the two game I watched.
