This Next Prep Hoops event was a competitive event that saw several prospects stand out. Below is a list of some of the top players that I saw during the three-day event. I might not call them the all-team, because unfortunately 21 of the 50 some teams in the 2028 / 14U division chose not to submit a roster before the event. But I will say I am choosing these players because of their individual play and the projection of their future impact on a high school court somewhere. These kids certainly deserve the recognition.

Starter: Center

High upside player that is developing there is a lot to like here. When his team was caught in a close game, he was the one to step up with rebounds and buckets.

[player_tooltip player_id='2393884' first='Dexter' last='Simmons'] | 6'3" | PF | 2029 | 58 Hoops | Stewartville, MN

Starter: Stretch Four

A young prospect that was playing up this weekend. Being that I am from WI and often cover the Badgers. He remains of the play style of so many Minnesota recruits. Now I am not saying he there and not trying to put pressure on a young prospect I am just trying to paint of picture of his very much still developing style.

[player_tooltip player_id='2381487' first='Keondre' last='Schaefferkotter'] | 5'8" | CG | E2E Elite | Fond Du Lac, MN

Starter: PG

This player was impactful and did just about everything one could do for his club. I like his aggressiveness and approach to the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2417295' first='Zaine' last='Blixt'] | 5'10" | W | 2028 | [program_tooltip program_id='2078372' first='ECI' last=''] | Central Cass, ND

Starter Wing

Effort / Willingness / Will get the easy buckets / These are just some of the terms I would use to describe his play. Every team needs this type of player.

Talon Fabian | 5'8" | SG | 2028 | Mississippi Valley Current | Gale Ettrick Trempealeau HS

Starter: Shooting Guard

Kid can shoot and when he is hot can carry you. Would easily create spacing and open the lane up for your bigs or slashers

[player_tooltip player_id='2417762' first='Alexander' last='Krueger'] | 5'10 | SG | 2028 | Minnesota Furry - Krueger

Offense of the bench and when you need him the most put him in the corner and feed him every time. (not saying he is just a corner shooter)

[player_tooltip player_id='2413724' first='Theo' last='Paye'] | 6'1" | W | 2028 | [program_tooltip program_id='2078372' first='ECI' last=''] | Grand Forks Red River, ND

This one, when he develops, if he works, will be able to do anything you ask of him. He would be the one on your team that could play any role, offensively or defensively. A plus athletically.
