My first game of the day was East Lansing Vs Delaware Hayes and East Lansing took it to the defending central region champions. I loved the defensive effort they put forth with everybody on the roster competing on that end. Hutson is an impressive athlete who is strong, an impact defender and able to knock down an open shot. After getting a bunch of mid major offers in the past few months, Hutson has really improved his stock and will now look to help lead East Lansing on a deep tournament run his senior year.

On a team without many senior presences, Toledo Central Catholic will be going through some growing pains this season. I didn't catch those on Friday as the Irish looked impressive in a double-digit victory. Hornbeak played a key role in the win as he knocked down some perimeter shots and most importantly made a big impact defensively. Starting to figure out his body, Hornbeak blocked a couple shots and had multiple steals as well. On a team with some talented scorers, Hornbeak can be a key contributor if he continues to play defense at the level I saw on Friday.

One of the most no-nonsense type players in the state, Bertke, is flat out productive. Love the motor he plays with and his ability to score the ball in the paint. Playing on an offense that moves the ball well, Bertke scores off post-ups, cuts and set plays for him to get a look. Starting to expand his range, Bertke knocked down a couple 8-12 foot turnarounds and an above the break 3-pointer. I expect Bertke to be one of the most productive players in his conference as a Junior.

One of the more naturally talented prospects in southeast Ohio, Roberts had some impressive flashes on Friday. Knocking down four 3-pointers in the game I was at, Roberts provides an intriguing blend of size, athleticism and shooting. His height also allowed him to grab numerous offensive rebounds. I thought the production started to match the natural talent Roberts has. For him to be recruited at the college level, Roberts will need to stay disciplined and mature on the court.

Louisville has had a strong summer with an experienced senior core that's played a ton of basketball together. Andrejcik is a very improved player from last year and looks poised to provide the Leopards with some solid value as a complimentary piece this winter. He knocked down a couple shots from the outside in the game I caught and made even more in the one I missed earlier in the day. Also making some toughness plays scrapping for rebounds and loose balls, Andrejcik was impacting winning in a variety of ways. Really encouraged with what I saw from Andrejcik and [player_tooltip player_id='2702467' first='Tate' last='Aljancic'], two seniors who could help push Louisville over the top this winter.
