June Jam All Tournament Team 2029

Over the weekend, the class of 2029 represented themselves well. There were a number of players who showcased why they have very bright futures. These young men are all worthy of being a part of the All Tournament Team.    Miles is a great all around player who showcased the skills to do everything on the basketball court. Excellent ball handler that often used his ability to blow by defenders and create for himself or others. Showed his leadership skills as the primary ball handler by getting his teammates in positive situations on offense. Good jump shooter who can knock down shots from mid or long range. Over the weekend, I saw Miles lead his team in scoring and assists. He can also grab rebounds and force turnovers with great on ball defense. I witnessed a player who has the ability to succeed at either guard spot because of all the intangibles he possess.     Bode is a player who does whatever it takes to lead his squad to victory. He is a very good passer with play making ability. I witnessed Bode do everything on the court as it pertains to scoring, rebounding, passing and playing hard-nosed defense. Excellent ball handler who used various dribble moves to get around defenders for attacks at the basket. Good mid range shooter who can also knock down free throws at a high percentage. A very athletic defender who stays attached to opposing players. Generated numerous steals by playing passing lanes and showed the ability to score in transition. Bode is the type of player who doesn't have any quit in his body! He will succeed at the middle and high school level just off sheer determination.     Santos is a very explosive player who showcased his ability as an elite scorer. He is a high energy player who has the ability to create for himself or teammates. A really good shooter from the floor, often attacking the basket and scoring through contact. He can also convert mid-range shots and three's at a good shooting percentage. Great ball handler who gets to wherever he needs to be on the court. Had no issues getting around defenders for easy scores at the rim. Good rebounding guard who didn't mind attacking the glass to gain extra possessions for his squad. Santos plays really tough defense, often pressuring opposing guards into mistakes. I loved the level of emotion this young guy plays with! As long as he keeps it under control.. he will be a very special player for years to come.     Riley is an excellent shooter who has the capability of making long or mid-range shots. He displayed the ability to create his own shots with side and step back jumpers. I witnessed him knock down numerous threes over the weekend. In isolated situations, he was able to use great ball handling skills to drive past defenders for easy scores at the rim. A very skilled player on offense who will eventually take it to the next level as his game continues to grow. He showed the willingness of going in the paint and grabbing rebounds, which showed his toughness to play through contact. I can see Riley becoming an elite player on offense in the near future. He already makes scoring look easy at a young age.     Garrett is a good all around player who plays great team ball. He was a jack of all trades on the basketball court over the weekend. Showed he has the ability to make mid-range shots at a very accurate percentage. If the opportunity presented itself, making three point shots proved to be no issue either. He displayed the skill to create shots for himself and others with his ball handling. Garrett constantly attacked the basket, often drawing fouls by opposing defenders. He is a good defender who can stay with opposing players by fighting through screens and disrupting the shots of offensive players. A tough minded player who had no issue attacking the paint and grabbing rebounds on both ends of the court. Garrett is the "glue guy" player that any coach would love to have! These players are very invaluable nowadays.     Jake has good post moves along with the ability of making  jump-shots outside of fifteen feet. He can bring the ball up court under control and grab rebounds, both offensive and defensively. Seamlessly works well on offense getting to his spots for open looks, often being effective. Sets good screens that allow teammates to be efficient on the offensive side of the floor. Really good interior and exterior defender who made life difficult for opposing guards and wings trying to score the ball. Jake plays the game with a calm demeanor and maintained the same emotions win or lose. He communicates and displayed positive energy with other teammates. These are all qualities that will help him as his basketball journey progresses.     Gabe is an excellent combo guard who is great in one on one situations. He can create off the dribble and attack the basket, often leading to scores for himself or flashy passes to open teammates. He is very unselfish and looks to get teammates involved on the offensive side of the ball. Gabe is the kind of player who lets the game come to him. Nice mid and long range shooting ability that proved to be very effective over the weekend. Gabe has the lateral quickness to be a great defender. He often stayed velcroed to opposing guards, not giving up any air space for them to get off shots. He was very knowledgeable of where he needed to be and how he should attack on both sides of the court. I look forward to keeping track of his progression throughout middle and high school.     Owen has the ability to play in the post along with the skills of making long distance shots. He is excellent at grabbing rebounds at a high level. A lot of easy baskets were scored due to his tenaciousness on the offensive glass. He was very knowledgeable of how to get to his spots for open looks on offense. Sets really good picks that allow teammates to be efficient on offense. Showed the ability to drive around opposing players and score at the basket. Good team defender who helps out teammates with good double teams and interior post defense. Owen has a good touch on his jump shot along with the ability to score inside. He has the skills and intangibles to be successful at the middle and high school levels.
