, Sandia: Adams, a two-sport standout (one of the best defenders on Sandia’s football team), is currently ranked No. 6 in our 2025 prospect rankings. He earned Class 5A Honorable Mention All-State honors after leading Sandia in scoring and rebounding while shooting 41 percent from 3-point range. Adams has impressed on the spring/summer hoops circuit, especially as a 3-point shooter. If you’re looking for a Breakout Player of the Year in Class 5A, Adams is a great choice. He’s one of several talented player returning for Sandia in 2024-25. Watch out for the Matadors.

He led the Hawks to their third consecutive Class 5A state championship by averaging 22.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while shooting 62.4 percent from the field and an impressive 47.0 percent from 3-point range. Volcano Vista is 88-2 in Aguino’s first three years with the varsity. Holds six offers: New Mexico State, Cal Poly, Cal State-Northridge, North Dakota, Northern Colorado and San Jose State.
Tracen Huntsman Tracen Huntsman SG Centennial | 2026 State NM , Centennial: Huntsman is an intriguing 6-foot-2, 180-pound shooting guard for the Hawks. He earned 5A-3 All-District Second Team Honors as a sophomore after being the top non-senior scorer on Centennial last season. The Hawks’ top 3 scorers were seniors in 2023-24, so look for Huntsman to take on a larger load of the scoring and rebounding in 2024-25. Camped last weekend at Austin Peay and Southern Indiana. Promising 3-point shooter.

, Cleveland/ABC Prep: Steverson earned First-Team All-State honors after leading the Storm to a 20-8 record. However, the 6-foot-4 Steverson shook up the Albuquerque Metro Region high schools hoops ranks by announcing May 29 that he will play for ABC Prep in 2024-24, leaving a huge void for Cleveland to fill. He excelled at a recent summer event in Kansas City, including a triple-double in his first game, earning recognition from national analysts.
