The 6'5 wing attacks the basket strong as he finishes well around the basket and can draw contact in the paint. Jean-Pierre moves well without the ball in his hands and is an underrated passer. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and works for rebounds on both ends of the floor. He rarely forces jumpers in the halfcourt and slides his feet on the defensive end. He gets deflections on the defensive end and can thread passes to teammates in the halfcourt. Gonzalez is more than just a slasher as he has a clean release on his jumper and shoots the ball with confidence from deep. He plays with composure on the ball and jumps passing lanes on defense. He moves well without the ball in his hands and gets deflections on the defensive end.
