However, in this article we wanted to spotlight guys who have made their way into the rankings outside the top 100, with room to grow and expand their games until the next update. Check out five more of those guys below.
Noch averaged over 6 PPG, 4 RPG, and 2 APG in a solid role for Charlotte Catholic this last high school season, and that combined with his spring performances put him at 116th position in our new rankings. Very quick defensive guy who puts pressure on the ball and lights up passing lanes with quick instincts and active hands. Can shoot the three ball a little bit, but is still streaky but also showing improvement. Could become a big part of the rotation for CC next year in the backcourt.
Surratt is a multisport athlete, one who will be a collegiate level guy in both areas of the game. He jumps into our rankings at 163rd position from our watchlist. On the basketball court, he brings his blend of explosive athleticism to both ends of the floor, where he has great burst and sits down defensively. Able to score the ball around the rim and get consistent paint touches as well.
Dorsette clocks in at 190th position in our new rankings, with a lot of room to grow in front of him both in terms of his high school role as well as his basketball skillset. Currently he’s a guy with quick speed and a bit of wiggle to beat his man. Keeps his head up and looks to make the extra pass or right read if the defense starts taking his scoring option away. Solid shooter from deep and still working on becoming a good finisher around the rim. Should have a jump back up in production next year.
Highlights
Speaking of production, this kid is nothing but, as he joins our rankings at 184th in the state for this update. He averaged over 25 PPG in conference as we got to see him a couple times, a dangerous scorer who can also make a play for others when forced to give it up. Has a solid body and can take bumps and keep on making the play he wants to make. Was a breakout guy this year and already has an offer from Milligan, but could definitely see more offers coming his way in the next twelve months.
Johnson is a smaller point guard with a physical frame that checks in at 104th on our rankings this summer update. Shifty and quick, he can attack space and look to make plays for everyone around him. Able to score it a little bit too from multiple spots on the floor. Has had a good summer for Team Curry East, and should see that continue this July.
