How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Joshua Dorsette is a high school basketball player at Durham Academy in Durham, North Carolina. He plays as a point guard and is part of the class of 2026. Joshua is known for his skills on the court, including his scoring, assists, and defensive abilities. He also plays club basketball for Save Sports NXTPRO. Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Really focused and determined. Enjoys spending time with my family, and being a great teammate.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, Keystone Leadership Club @ Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

In my Keyston Club, which is a community service leadership club where we do service-learning programs bimonthly during the school yea. We learn and use skills such as discipline, selfless attitudes, diversity and socio awareness.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, Going through a coach change and transfer. It helped my understand change and how to adapt to change, It really made a better player and diversify my basketball game.

What type of college are you looking for?

Definitely a college with my major and a diverse, college community. I'm looking for a coach that will continue to push me and enable to become a successful young adult and positive assets to my community. Safety also plays a big factor into my decision. I want to be in a safe learning environment as well.
