The strong senior guard is off the board with a commitment to Dean College. Dorsette is a versatile backcourt piece who can impact the game as both a scorer and a distributor. He finishes well through contact, shows a solid feel for the game, and led Durham Academy with 15.3 points per game this season, capping off a highly productive senior campaign.

Dorsette is a quick shifty guard capable of creating offense at a really high level for this Durham Academy team. Dorsette is capable of running a team that likes to play up-tempo while also being able to execute a more methodical style when needed. For 10-8 Durham Academy, Dorsette is averaging 15.6 Points, 2.8 Rebounds, 1.6 Assists, and 1.9 Steals. He’s doing all of this 45/40/65 splits as well. Dorsette has deep range and a quick first step that makes him a nightmare to stop 1v1. He can shake you for a pull up jumper, raise up from distance, or go all the way by you to the basket for an easy one. Expect Dorsette to continue to play at a high level for Durham Academy and continue to garner more recruiting attention in the process.

Dorsette is a rising prospect in the 2026 rankings out of Durham Academ at the point guard spot. He led the Cavaliers with 2.7 assists per game as well as 10.8 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest on 47 percent shooting from the floor. He’s a solid navigator off the bounce who’s shown he can get to the free-throw line after finishing eighth in free throws made (59) this past season. He ranked in eighth in the NCISAA 4A, according to MaxPreps, in his ability to create free opportunities for himself. He’ll be a name to know with Save Sports Elite this spring/summer given his skill set.

Dorsette clocks in at 190th position in our new rankings, with a lot of room to grow in front of him both in terms of his high school role as well as his basketball skillset. Currently he’s a guy with quick speed and a bit of wiggle to beat his man. Keeps his head up and looks to make the extra pass or right read if the defense starts taking his scoring option away. Solid shooter from deep and still working on becoming a good finisher around the rim. Should have a jump back up in production next year.
