He plays the game at his own pace and values substance and good shots over flash. Doing most of his damage around the basket and in the mid-range, Yeargin attacks the offensive glass strong as well. He moves with purpose and intent to get open. While he does see a good deal of catch-and-shoot looks from deep, Tipton's shot preparation is key and leads to success with rhythm jumpers as well. He's got his feet squared to the basket and always seems to have his hands ready on the catch. He can shoot the long ball or break you down and get to the rim easily. Not shying away from contact at the rim and finishing strong through it will certainly help his overall game and growth. Maybe adding more muscle to absorb some of that contact will help. Pope also has the slightest hitch in his jumper in his right arm when setting up. He is in constant motion and always finds himself around the ball ready to convert. During one possession he was setting a screen for the ball-handler and as he was rolling, the ball was deflected to the opposite side of the lane. Pina was able to recover the ball from that spot out of position and still score and finish the play at the rim. He has a quick release and a pump fake that can freeze defenders. He's got the green light to pull it from beyond the three-point line if he sees daylight.
