West Mania: 2025 Standouts 

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>April 19-21 I attended the&nbsp;<strong>West Mania</strong>&nbsp;powered by&nbsp;<strong>EHA Circuit</strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Made Hoops</strong>. They teamed up together to form a top notch event of multiple circuit teams (EYBL. UAA. 3SSB. NxtPro, NB) plus top independents. A lot of local standouts were spread around on various teams.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Here were the 2025 Standouts Viewed</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1237854' first='Jaion' last='Pitt'] Canyon International Academy (AZ Unity EYBL)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A tough two-way power forward is an impressive on-ball defender in space and has a big time motor to rebound the ball with stick em on his hands. He seems to always be around the ball. He scores with mid-range jumpers, quick spin moves and he will flush it down with some steam. His effort and motor will definitely translate.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1297427' first='AJ' last='Thomas'] Eduprize (West Coast Elite UAA) (Pictured)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A bigger pure PG with great court vision and a very shifty handle. His ability to change speeds and directions quickly makes his game go. He touches the paint often and he will take the bump to score or will dime his teammates with pocket passes. He scores mostly with pull-ups from mid-range.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='996172' first='D'Andre' last='Harrison'] Perry (Vegas Elite EYBL)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A highly skilled and very productive power forward who is undersized. He understands how to use his build with long arms to score inside and brings toughness. He is always in the right spot and will rip thru and go up and score. He can shoot the three and his mid-range is definitely his sweet spot. He is a good passer and brings toughness and skill to any team.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1366003' first='Jaden' last='Vance'] Bella Vista Prep (Vegas Elite EYBL)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long wing forward can score with catch threes, pull-ups and high level above the rim dunks. He can go baseline and flush it down. He still looks very young and may not be done growing. He is a good on ball and off ball defender and is slowly filling in his long frame.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1336443' first='Uriah' last='Tenette'] Prescott (AZ Factory)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring PG who is a high level athlete. He has a big time mid-range pull-up and he is extending his three point range way out beyond the arc. He dunks it on the break and will even block shots in the air. He will grab out of area rebounds and will thread it into his teammates shooting pockets. He impressively keeps his dribble alive amidst heavy pressure and then will throw the strike. On the break he will challenge shot blockers and go right at them.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1217315' first='TayVion' last='Wilson'] Sandra Day (Progress Feels Best)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A combo guard who plays on or off the ball. He can make plays but loves to score. He has a super quick release with his three point shot and uses a quick burst to get to the basket and will score in traffic.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2176822' first='Christian' last='Jones'] Hillcrest Prep (JL3 EYBL)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A pure PG makes the game easy for his teammates. He passes it up the court, drive and kicks and burst into the paint and dumps it off. He scores with mid-range jumpers and threes. He is undersized but fast, shifty and has a tight handle.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1430449' first='James' last='Steward'] Marcos de Niza (AZ Factory)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A powerful forward makes his money around the basket. He scores with drop steps into a dunk and scores with his left or right hand in the post. He is an easy dunker and strong two-handed rebounder gobbling up all balls near him.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1336434' first='Presley' last='Ibeh'] Phoenix Christian (AZ Factory)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An unsigned senior just got back from his high school season injury. He has a physical frame to get downhill and he has a polished mid-range pull-up off the dribble. His ability to defend, collect steals and rebound makes him a valuable two-way player.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1275052' first='Noah' last='Sowunmi'] Paradise Valley/AZ (AZ Factory)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another top notch unsigned senior is a high level defensive player who is a playmaker. He defends the 1-3 on every team and consistently slows down every top player. He makes good reads and gets downhill well and will hit the open three.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>SHOOTERS</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1364929' first='Jackson' last='Hunter'] Liberty (AZ Factory)</strong> &amp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2198865' first='Andrew' last='Urosevic'] Canyon International Academy (AZ Unity EYBL)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Two of the better shooters I viewed over the weekend were both from AZ. They both love it off the catch and square up in a blink of an eye. Hunter has a little more size. length and wiggle to create his shot. Urosevic has a sturdy frame and shows toughness.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
