The event, which took place Saturday May 11th at Mojave High School featured unsigned players from the class of 2024 and 2025. The Showcase also had coaches in attendance as well as watching via the 7outz Live Stream, looking to lay eyes on their next sleeper. Here’s a look at some of the top College sleepers from the event.
Taylor was impressive with his first step. He has the talent to play at the college level, the combo just needs a shot. The state champ and Balldawgs MVP was his usual good two way self. He did a good job of finishing his drives with layups at the rim.
Highlights
Rose is coming off an impressive shooting performance during the Balldawgs AS game, where he took home the three point championship. Coaches got to tune in to see the 6’2 snipers shooting on display during the Showcase.
Highlights
Ivery is a lefty PG that understands how to change the tempo of the game. He attacked on offense, making some nice 1 v 1 moves to free himself from defenders, displaying a nice pull up jumper game in the process.
For schools looking for an underrated shooter, Castro may be a good bet. He has decent size, and does a good job with his shot prep. His ability to change the scoreboard with his three point shooting is a crucial skill being looked for by college coaches.
A card carrying member of my All Irrational Confidence team, Baltierrez is natural scorer. He showed his shooting ability, knocking down both three’s and mid range jumpers alike. For small schools looking for players to step into a scoring role, the sharpshooter would make a nice addition.
