Expert Analysis
Bruce Williams | Prep Hoops Scout
Taylor was impressive with his first step. He has the talent to play at the college level, the combo just needs a shot. The state champ and Balldawgs MVP was his usual good two way self. He did a good job of finishing his drives with layups at the rim.

Feels only right if Taylor walks away from the event with another award. The combo spent most of 2023-24 taking home Championships and trophies. He’s coming off a strong performance at the balldawgs AS Game leading to MVP honors.

27↑24 Taylor is expected to be a key piece to Sierra Vista’s championship goals. The combo guard played well enough during the grassroots season to make a 3 spot jump, landing him in the top 25.

It’s been a while sense I watched Taylor play, but he reminded why he was so valuable. He’s evolved into one of the best two way players in the state, with a slick handle, and quick hands. He was his usual tough aggressive self in on ball defense, but proved that he’s a big time offensive threat.

Taylor could be one of the better stories of the high school season, as the talented guard will be returning after sitting out last season. He’s a dawg on the defensive end, using his on ball defensive ability to dominate guards. He has developed into a quality shooter, and ballhandler, making him one of the better two way players in the state.

What ever school Taylor ends up at will be getting a very productive player. The Combo guard is one of the better defenders in the state, but missed last season after sitting out for transfer reasons. Look for him to bounce back in a big way this season, as he has the experience and skill to be a major contributor for someone.

Taylor is a sleeper, only because he missed most of his high school season. He’s a terrific on ball defender and he displayed it during the Sunny Days event, putting the clamps on opposing ballhandlers. He’s more of a combo guard, but his ability to get paint touches and create, provided a glimpse of his point guard abilities.

Taylor is simply too talented to be ignored. The PG has bounced around schools, however when he’s on the court, his talent speaks for himself. He’s a good two way player, and with his improved offensive skills, look for him to draw some scholarship interest.

Taylor is another player that didn’t get an opportunity to showcase his talent this season, sitting out at DO after transferring from Sierra Vista. He is a remarkable two-way player, that competes with an attitude. While there may be questions regarding his absence last season, no one can question his production.
