Due to recent NCAA calendar changes, June has become vital to recruiting and the high school game. There’s two live periods so this is a great time to evaluate prospects and gain insight into teams for the upcoming season.
Webster Groves is ushering in a new era of basketball this upcoming season. They’ll have a dynamic duo of underclassmen who will provide a ton of excitement. Growing pains are to be expected but this team has the makings of being championship caliber in the near future.
Scottie Adkinson Scottie Adkinson 6'3" | SG Webster Groves | 2027 State MO will be the headliner following a stellar freshman season. He’s a 6’3 combo guard that can run the show and displays gifts that aren’t showcased in St. Louis often. A high-major plus type of prospect. His creation ability will determine the ceiling of this team. He’s going to be relied on as a scorer and assist man. Defense is an area of the game he’s elite at. 15.7 PPG, 4.7 RPG, and 3.1 APG were his freshman season totals. It’s reasonable to expect a jump in all three categories with his role shifting to the true No. 1 option.

is the other prospect to know. He’s a 2028 who will be ready to play out of the gates. At 6’4 he’s a dynamic athlete that plays above the rim and should excel guarding the perimeter early in his career. Slashing, transition buckets, and second chance points are all areas of the game he’ll take care of as a freshman. Similar to Adkinson, it’s safe to expect offers for him early in the process.
Carl Whitehead is a senior that brings a ton of experience. His shooting ability and toughness makes him the right complimentary piece. He averaged 8.1 PPG as a junior and finished the season strong with a couple big performances. Floor spacing for the guards this team has is key and Whitehead provides just that. A culture guy who has been a part of multiple winning seasons.

is another top notch shooter. He’s a guard that can handle it and score when the opportunity presents itself. Like the others listed, Williams will spend much of his time on the perimeter. Webster Groves is a hard nosed program and playing 4 or 5 guard lineups will be a slightly different look. For this reason he’s a prospect that adds value. A team player that isn’t afraid to step in and take a charge or dive for that loose ball.

has some size standing at around 6’5. His role will change some but shooting and passing remain a constant in his approach. He’s a skilled guy that makes the right play more times than not. Seniors lead the way and now is his turn. In the past he has always been a role player that makes timely plays. Set for a big senior season.
