This event is always one of the best independent tournaments of the spring and summer bringing out a huge number of Division II, Division III, and NAIA coaches. As we continue our coverage coming out of the weekend, here are eight new names of prospects that maybe weren’t as familiar with before, but really started to emerge and make themselves known at the Run N Slam.
Zo Clawson-Smith
Zo Clawson-Smith
This 6’0″ guard had it going throughout the weekend for Indiana Legacy Ice Elite 2025, but particularly stood out on Sunday morning. Clawson-Smith knocked down a three-point shot behind a ballscreen and finished in a variety of ways at the end of his drives. The Lafayette Jefferson High School product has some straight line quickness with the ball and is athletic enough to get up and finish around size inside. He is a skilled ball hander that displayed some all-around playmaking chops at the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam.
We wrote about Crane some during the event as he really stood out on Friday night for OPS – Ervin 2025, but he deserves some continued attention coming out of the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam. The 6’7″ forward from Carroll (Fort Wayne) High School is a double-double machine this spring showcasing his strength on the block, sound footwork, and some flashes of athleticism. Crane did an excellent job of starting the break with pinpoint outlet passes and was even able to handle it a bit in the open floor to advance the ball. Intriguing post presence for small college programs to watch.

An intriguing 6’5″ wing from Bishop Noll Institute, Johnson shot the ball well throughout the weekend for Indiana Game National Gold 2025. He has a long, athletic frame which projects well as a 3-and-D sort of wing at the next level. Johnson also flashes some versatility on the defensive end of the floor coming from off the ball to block shots and playing in the passing lanes some. Definitely some potential to tap into as he continues to develop throughout the spring and summer into his senior year.
Colt Kirkpatrick
Colt Kirkpatrick
Fort Wayne always seems to have some impressive homeschool talent and several of the top prospects were on display for various programs at the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam. One that really stood out was Colt Kirkpatrick who played with Summit City Elite – Black 2025. The 6’5″ forward has some real offensive versatility flashing some ability to stretch the floor while also using his size to score around the basket. He had a couple of big games over the weekend and proved himself as an under-the-radar name to follow through the rest of the spring and summer.
Tre Lewis
Tre Lewis
Lewis had a stretch on Sunday morning where he was absolutely dominating the offensive glass for Indiana Jammers 2026. The 6’4″ forward plays with a great motor and has the requisite physical tools to hold his own around the basket even against bigger opponents. He was relentless on the glass and finished several putbacks off of offensive rebounds. One to keep an eye on out of Terre Haute South High School.
The size stands out right away as Peters carries a 6’7″ strong, athletic frame. Those physical tools do a lot of the Heritage Christian product, but he also displays good hands, footwork, and finishing ability around the basket. He was impressive on Sunday for INB Elite 2026 and is a high-upside forward to follow as he continues to develop. There are certainly intriguing athletic and physical tools to work with, but Peters has some skill level as well that helps him produce in the post right now.

An under-the-radar prospect from Adams Central High School that helped the Flying Jets to a 20-win season as a sophomore, Reber caught our attention over the weekend while playing with OPS – Kindschy 2026. He has excellent physical and athletic tools at 6’4″ with length and a strong frame. He projects as a versatile defender that can be great in transition and then serve as a slasher/right-hand driver in the half court. There are a lot of tools to work with and Reber definitely has his best basketball still ahead of him.
Wes Ward
Wes Ward
Admittedly, this was a prospect we simply were not aware of going into this weekend’s tournament. However, the 6’8″ Tri-West High School forward really impressed on Sunday morning for Progeny Blue 2025. Ward has an intriguing set of skills at 6’8″ with length and some fluid athleticism. He can run the floor, play above the rim out of the dunker’s spot, and even stepped outside and knocked in a catch-and-shoot three with a smooth left-handed stroke. There is definitely some long-term potential to work with there.
