Bash in the Desert 15U Day 2 Notebook Part 1

He was making threes in a variety of ways. Whether it was catch and shoot, pull up in transition, side stepping off the dribble, or even coming off of screens, he was a sniper from beyond the arc. If he wasn't draining threes, he was attacking hard closeouts and finding opportunities for his teammates, he also is a solid rebounder. Cristian is a very consistent mid-range shooter who can score in a variety of ways. Not to mention he has a solid catch and shoot game from three. He had a bunch of tough finishes at the bucket, specifically extended outside hand finishes. He has a quick first step so he gets to his spots in a timely fashion. If he's not scoring, his playmaking IQ is solid. He excels at drive and kick situations and knows when to make a necessary skip pass. He uses it to his advantage by getting past his defenders and finishing any which way around the rim. He can finish through contact but he also knows when to get a floater off in the paint. He looks very comfortable behind the arc, specifically shooting side step and off the dribble threes. He is pretty much everywhere on the court hustling whether it's playing the passing lane or going for 50/50 balls. Offensively, he's a savvy playmaker who tends to make the right read to put his teammates in a good position. On the ball he has a steady catch and shoot game from three. Lastly, he's good at attacking downhill and finishing through contact. He does a good job at corralling rebounds and getting the ball to his teammates to start a fast break. With his height, he has the ability to block and deter shots. Not mention he can hold his own alright out on the perimeter guarding smaller guards. Offensively, he rolls hard off screens and has his hands available for a pass.
