Bouncy rim protector who contests everything inside, picking up a pair of blocks. Attacks the glass consistently, snagging defensive rebound after defensive rebound. Has gradually grown into more than just an athletic defender who can dunk, adding a midrange and outside game and knocking down pull-up middys and jab-step threes. His vision and passing have come along as well, scanning from the post to find cutting teammates.

Smith was one of the more explosive forwards at the event. Dominant scorer at the rim and showed the ability to stretch the floor with his three ball. Plays with a strong motor and great confidence. A highly effective rebounder and just has a great overall feel for the game. Played very well in the pick and roll and impacted the game at a high level. Had some electric shot blocks during the event. Very coachable and had a great attitude no matter the situation. Impacts the game at a high level on both ends.

He’s truly a menace on the defensive end, blocking nearly anything that enters his sight. It isn’t uncommon for him to fly in from the opposite side of the court to contest an opponent’s jumper or layup attempt. A very bouncy player who jumps off the screen with his freak athleticism. He’s improved on offense as well, showing his ability to hit tough midrange shots.

Ja’mir Smith stands around 6’7”, which comes in handy on both ends of the floor. Defensively, he contests shots, alters looks at the rim, and is disruptive. On offense, he can splash in shots from downtown and isn’t a player opponents should necessarily challenge at the rim, as he’s capable of throwing down some serious slam dunks. The upside is definitely there, and he definitely looks the part of a college prospect.

Ja’Mir is super athletic forward that that can get up and down the floor. One of his best assists is the ability out hustle defenders and run in to the lanes for easy dunks and fast break points. He is a strong finisher and will finish with a nice jump hook. He also showcased his ability to stretch the floor hitting two three’s and one from NBA range. He sits in the dumpers spot ready for the ball and will dunk it. Ja’mir is a plus rebounder on both end and will send shot away at the rim making him a great paint presence.
