Bash in the Desert 15U ’27 Forwards

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>May 3rd-5th I attended the annual&nbsp;<strong>Bash in the Desert</strong>&nbsp;at the Phhacility and Valley Vista HS locations. It had nearly 60 teams total and I watched 80% of all the teams to form a good opinion of the field.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I watched 10+ of the 15U teams on Sunday the 5th and</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here are my 15U 2027 Standout Forwards that I viewed:</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2407205' first='Jamir' last='Smith'] Chandler ([program_tooltip program_id='2407834' first='AZ' last='Phenoms'] 15)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A super athletic power forward dominates the glass. He is a strong two-handed rebounder and will score thru contact. He can score with drop steps into a hook shot and throws it down fiercely on the break. He will block shots and he is a sneaky good passer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2396185' first='Zathan' last='Ruffin'] North Valley Christian Academy ([program_tooltip program_id='2415446' first='Arizona' last='Grind'] NB National 15)&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A versatile wing forward is a top end shot blocker. He grabs every rebound in and out of his area and will score on put backs. He can shoot it from mid to the three and is just scratching the surface. One of the better small school players in the class.   </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2337138' first='Jadd' last='Agha'] Phoenix Country Day ([program_tooltip program_id='2415446' first='Arizona' last='Grind'] NB National 15)&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A wing forward who has great size. He is a top notch three point shooter. When he can catch and shoot and set his feet, he will knock it down. He will block shots with his size and rebound. Another small school standout. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2422763' first='Camren' last='Hicks'] Canyon Del Oro (Valley Elite 15)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A bigger wing forward scores on swooping layup with his long strides. He is a point forward type and runs the court with the best of them. He is a quick leaper who scores inside and can step out and shoot the three.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2433299' first='Jaxson' last='Galliart'] Desert Mountain ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A good sized power forward showed his toughness playing with a fractured hand. The lefty scores in traffic and can rip thru and score in the paint. He is also smart off of the pick and roll game.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Adam Hunter Erie/CO (BC Elite 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long and very tall freshman at six-foot seven is a rim protector in and out of his area. He is a fluid mover and will rip thru and score around the basket. He is just scratching the surface of his potential. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Donovan Whitehead PF 6'6 Durango/CO (New Mexico D1 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A powerful forward can rebound everything in his area but comes with skill. He will fall away from 5-feet and from mid-range. He carves out space and rebounds everything with his two hands. He can rip thru and score thru contact with his physique. He had a huge and-1 under a minute to essentially ice it. He has decent size already to play inside and out. He runs the court well and finishes it effectively around the rim.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2107084' first='Adam' last='Medina'] Williams Field ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] Prelude 15 Rohde)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A good sized power forward has a nice touch around the rim and is crafty to score. He smartly keeps the ball high and will quickly go up to score. He will block shots in his area and gobble up rebounds.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2212842' first='Lukas' last='Jendrusiak'] Dream City Christian ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] Prelude 15 Rohde)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A strong forward who is one of the top shooters per position in the class. He showed it off with multiple catch threes in rhythm. He is also a very good passer and sees the court with a big IQ for the game.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2143671' first='Ashton' last='Musser'] St. Mary's ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] Prelude 15 Rohde)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The big man has a nice touch near the rim and he is strong two handed rebounder. He can do the drop step move into a reverse layup. He jumps up with quicker reflexes to rebound and score on put backs.
