Chris Taylor – Chicago Agricultural HS 5’10
Chris is a quick guard who has a tight handle with the ball. He excels at getting to the paint with his quick first step. Taylor is a sharp passer but is a demon on-the-ball defender. He gets steals often because of how well he anticipates passes. Many coaches liked his activity.
Drake Washington Proviso West 6’2
A dynamic playmaker for his size. Washington didn’t get to play the 5 on 5 games but he did enough in the skill work portion. Drake shot the ball well and looked quick off the bounce. Several schools were interested in Washington.
Dwayne Haliburton Butler Prep 6’6
Haliburton is a mismatch problem for some. He has the size and skill to play around the rim but is more accustomed to shooting from the perimeter and the mid-range. Dwayne is athletic and long and will surprise you if he catches a body. He shot the ball well at the event and was strong in the paint grabbing rebounds and challenging shots at the basket. He could be a gold mine for small schools and JUCOs.
Jay-Juan Gould – PHH Prep 6’2
Gould is an active guard who flew in from Arizona to compete in the showcase. He’s an athlete who has long arms and an advanced skillset with the ball in his hands. Jay is a creative passer but is much better suited as a finisher at the rim. As a defender he covers so much space with his long arms. If players try to dribble in front of him he just swipes the ball. He has the right body type to add muscle at the college level.
Corey Lee Corey Lee 6'2" | PG Oak Lawn | 2024 State IL – Oak Lawn 6’0
I liked what I saw from Lee in the drills and 5 on 5 play. He’s a shifty guard with the ball and likes to make plays for others. When looking to attack he is dangerous whenever he touches the paint. He’s got an extra gear when finishing around the rim. Lee would be a nice addition to any small school program.
Kaleb Jackson Kaleb Jackson 6'2" | PG Carmel Catholic | 2024 State IL – Carmel 6’2
Kaleb is another heady guard at the event who showed that he was a high-level scorer. He displays an incredible knowledge of the game when looking to attack off the dribble. His passes were direct and his tempo of the game never changed. Jackson’s a hard-working player that does the small things to win. He played the game with passion and is an energy guy for any program.
Saad Mowla – Universal 6’1
An unknown player coming into the event left with many coaches inquiring about him for next year. Saad is a talented shooter who made several shots on the move. He’s a catch-and shoot guard but he’s not limited. Mowla showed he’s capable of putting the ball on the deck at times when pressured. Saad had a solid senior season and he finished it off with a good showing at the showcase.
Marcus Everhart Marcus Everhart 6'5" | PF Bloom Township | 2024 State IL – Bloom 6’5
I remember stumbling upon this kid at Pangos camp his sophomore year. He was a ball of energy then and continues to play like one now. Marcus is the definition of an energy guy. He plays so hard on both sides of the ball. Catching lobs and soaring for rebounds. Everhart is always looking to make a big play. One thing that I must say is that I’ve seen the improvement over the years in how well he scores on offense and how he’s improved in timing block shots on defense. Many schools had Marcus on their list of players to meet after the event. I fully expect him to receive a few offers from some good JUCOS in the coming months.
