The senior class of Northeast GA is guard heavy and has a lot to offer. Whether you need a playmakers, 3-level scorers, true floor generals, athleticism, etc. There’s a student-athlete, in this class, that can meet those needs and help fill out a roster. Here’s three sleepers that should be getting invited to campuses and soon.
Kymel Williams Kymel Williams 6’1″ | PG Athens Academy | 2024 State GA , of Athens Academy, is definitely a guard coaches should take another look at, and get one their campus to evaluate. He’s a 6’1″ guard that push the ball in transition and run a half-court offense. He’s a playmaker that get to his spots and finish around the rim and, occasionally, above it. He’s played with and against Division I talent, during travel ball, which should reduce the adjustment period at the next level.
Tyler is a highly underrated guard in Georgia’s class of 2024. This kid can shoot it from deep at a high clip. He’s quick and changes direction on a dime. He’s a strong ball-handler that can push the tempo and make decisions, whether it be in transition or running the half-court offense. Tyler has the ability to get into the lane and finish around the rim. Smaller schools could benefit from having someone with Tyler’s abilities on their roster.
Javaun Pittard Javaun Pittard 6’5″ | SF Oglethorpe County | 2024 State GA is one of the biggest hidden gems in the state. He’s a 6’5″ Wing that handled the ball a lot this season. He had a great senior campaign, where he hit the 1000-point mark, was named C0-Region Player of the Year, and made several all-state selections. He’s a long, wiry 3-point specialist that should be getting more recognition as one of the best shooters in the state. He has the ability to put the ball on the floor, and once he’s in college -level, strength and conditioning program, he’ll be a real threat on any level of college ball.
