After spending the first three weekends of the spring covering the Prep Hoops Circuit, I spent this past weekend bouncing between two different events in Indianapolis focusing more specifically on Indiana teams and prospects. Here are seven names that really caught my attention.
Ball is as good as they come at driving it and finishing around the basket. The 6’5″ wing is very fluid off of the bounce showcasing the ability to change directions, get to the rim, and use his athleticism to finish around or above the defense. He is a threat in transition, attacks in the half court, and is an effective offensive rebounder too. Ball plays with a non-stop motor. Thought he had a great weekend playing in front of some small college coaches for Grand Park Premier NXT 2025.
There is a lot to like about Edwards’ game and he is one that small college coaches around the Midwest should follow closely heading into the month of May and through the rest of the spring and summer. The 6’5″ wing is very strong and athletic while also showcasing his ability to be high percentage as a catch-and-shoot threat beyond the arc. He had a very good weekend for Indiana Legacy Ice Elite 2025.
Hampton took over the primary ball handling reigns on Sunday for George Hill All Indy 2025 and looked very comfortable running the show. He is quick and shifty with the ball in his hands and has the strength necessary to play through some contact on the way to the basket. Left-handed guard with good finishing ability around the rim. Thought he had a very good weekend playing against some high-level competition.
The physical tools are what standout first with this prospect from Leo High School playing with Indiana Elite Team Tradition 2026. Hiteshew has great size on the perimeter and is very, very strong for a guard. He is a good right hand driver that uses his physicality to bully smaller defenders around the basket. Definitely one to keep an eye on as his outside shot continues to develop more and more.
Highlights
We’ve been high on this Judge for awhile now at Prep Hoops Indiana and he proved us right again this weekend with his Indiana Legacy Ice – Gizzi squad. The 6’5″ shot-maker from Lapel High School poured in 25 points in a game on Saturday showing off his all-around offensive ability and athleticism. Love his combination of size on the perimeter to go with a high skill level. He is one that could really break out over the next few months. Scholarship level player.
Everyone knows that Kirby is one of the elite athletes in the state of Indiana. He certainly had that on display this past weekend with Indiana Elite Team Indiana with some highlight real finishes above the rim offensively and acrobatic blocks defensively. However, what continues to help him emerge as a legitimate Division I prospect is his offensive progression. Kirby can make open catch-and-shoot three-point shots and is very effective both in transition and when attacking closeouts in the half court.
There are some physical tools that standout with Petty right away. He has good positional size on the perimeter at 6’4″ with extremely long arms. Over the weekend with the Circle City Shooters NXT 2026, Petty had a huge game on Saturday morning scoring 28 points in a hard fought win. The North Central High School product plays above the rim at the end of his drives and can really shoot it from beyond the arc. Love his two-way ability on the wing. Very projectable.
